This place has a special place in my heart as an early introduction to specialty coffee.
They serve good coffee, have all the bases covered and something to offer to anyone. The space is great for work, study, and conversation and socializing. Sayso has lots of events and is invested in the community, so that's great to see in a coffee shop.
Every interaction with the baristas I've had, have been great. And we love to see Black & White served in a shop, they do it justice.
All in all, my favorite hometown coffee shop, and one I make an effort to visit every time I visit home.
Visited on a Tuesday morning. There was only one other customer. The barista kept chatting with the customer and was making himself espressos. He saw me but didn’t let me know how soon he would be able to help me. I was in a rush so I didn’t end up getting anything. I’m sure the coffee is great but it would be nice for them to be a bit more sensitive to time especially on a workday morning. The inside is super nice and clean.
Beautiful place to sit and study or talk with someone. The owners are building Sayso coffee from the ground up. It’s the perfect local coffee shop to support. They offer a variety of milks. Customer connections are well done and the baristas are friendly as well as thorough. They work hard and quickly, I was ultimately more than satisfied with my experience at Sayso.
Best coffee in Winston by a country mile. Proper brew temps, excellent espresso extraction, the only place you can get a good pour over, and excellent iced coffee.
LOVE Sayso Coffee!!! They make an amazing oat milk cappuccino and Rebekah’s bakery treats are out of this world!! Really enjoyed their beautiful new location on Brookstown!
Coffee is amazing, great quality poor overs and foamy capuchino. This location is bigger than the WSPH, and has individual tables, ideal for writing or just sipping coffee.
Great place to sit a chat. Employees were helpful, coffee was great, and the pastries weren’t too sweet nor bland. Came on a Saturday and lots of families come through as well as dog owners. It feels pretty homey.
I found a hidden gem in WS. Coffee is excellent - I am sure they use the top 1% of beans. The atmosphere is excellent and a beautiful place to study in the Western Salem!
Very unique location! I didn’t go back to the garden. I had the hot lavender latte—it was extremely lavender-y. There also wasn’t wifi readily available. Not sure if I had to explicitly ask a worker for wifi, but no signs were posted anywhere. The seating is somewhat cafeteria style except for some side chairs. But I enjoyed the morning I spent there working. I’ll be back since they have a rewards card that I can get stamped.
Solid cup of coffee! Ambiance was good, and there were quite a number of people inside. Nice garden area in the back as well. Found it odd that they had pastries, but there was no covering on them--no division between food items and every person who walked up to the register. Would likely come back for another cup of coffee if I were in the area though!
