This is the best coffeeshop in Wilmington! I spent my first few years here wishing for a great neighborhood hangout offering delicious coffee and a comfortable place to work and socialize; Luna is just that. The owners and baristas are super friendly, the atmosphere is laid back, and this place has done wonders for my productivity. Plus, if you come here, there's a good chance that you'll meet some adorable dogs. Thanks, Luna!

I love the vibe of this whole place! The plaque for the world's longest straw, the stack of vhs VHS tapes and a TV showing me eternal Sunshine, like I can totally get behind this place. Also their vanilla lavender is top notch.

Luna Caffe has a very friendly staff and a great vibe! I tried the vanilla lavender iced latte today, and it was absolutely delicious. The space has a relaxed feel with a great playlist of music. It is a comfortable space to relax or do work in, but it is also very easy to drop in for a drink to go. They have various board games (Jenga, chess, Connect 4, etc), and dogs and children are both welcome. Overall, this is a great little coffee shop, and I would definitely come again!

Just tried this place for the first time and it was great. We had the honey spice and salted caramel mocha lattes (both were wonderful). This will be a regular stop from now on.

Really awesome little coffee shop. They have the best iced red eye on the eastern seaboard, I'm pretty sure. Owned by a couple of really friendly folks. I always, ALWAYS stop in when I'm in the neighborhood!

My favorite coffee shop in Wilmington. The coffee is great, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is very laid back. They also have a cool little patio.

I’ve been on a mission to find the best espresso in the Wilmington area. As of this posting I’ve tried half a dozen places. So you can understand this review, let me tell you what I’m looking for from an espresso:

It shouldn’t be bitter. It should have a thick crema. Ideally the crema should be somewhat brown, not blonde. However since the crema color is affected by the darkness of the roast, this isn’t automatically a bad thing. I always order a double shot, since they’re easier to pull and to be more consistent with when making. A double shot should produce around 60 mL of espresso and should take 25-28 seconds to make once the first drop hits the cup. When the espresso is coming out of the machine it should stream out with roughly the thickness of spaghetti. If it gets to straw thickness or drips out, one can tell the shot has not been dialed in correctly and that the grind size is inaccurate.

For the Luna Caffe this is the best espresso I’ve found in town so far. The coffee is ground and tamped by a person and they use a good Rancilio espresso machine. The extraction was roughly timed correctly (I didn’t time it exactly) and the flavor of the espresso was sweet with a decent amount of citrus and without bitterness. Worth a special trip if you're in the mood for espresso.

Really cute Cafe. Latte was flavorful. Great ambience, lovely barrista. Neat selection of vhs tapes and books. Very local and cozy.
