Love this healthy-options restaurant in beautiful small town West Jefferson. The food is always fresh, the staff very friendly, and they are more than willing to accommodate requests. Their avocado toast w/ egg and the Big B are my favorites for breakfast! Both are offered on gluten-free bread! There are great lunch and dinner options available. I love to take my customized smoothie to go! Hope everyone will give it a try! We need more places like this.

Nice find here. Good, healthy options. Probably the healthiest in town or nearby. Even great for our small kids. Kids loved the cards, games, and decorations too. Staff were very friendly and happy to talk to the kids. I had the quinoa southwest bowl, which was good and had a nice presentation. Daughter had a build your own acai bowl and really enjoyed. Keep it up. Great experience.

First off, the food was amazing!!! My mom is vegetarian so I took her for her birthday and my whole family loved their meals. The game side of the business is also quite incredible. Everywhere is sold out of Pokémon cards right now but they had some!! Highly recommend this place, whether you're looking for games or for really good and healthy food.

I live in Boone where we have nothing to offer like this truly awesome place that I discovered yesterday while visiting West Jefferson. The staff is extremely friendly and genuinely welcoming. They take time to get to know you and to answer questions about their menu items. I had the best tuna salad ever!!! Then, a delicious avocolada smoothie!!! I also had their Fire Cider which, with only a shot-sized serving, contains ingredients that I firmly believe is a sure way to ward off colds and flu. I even bought a couple of shots to go!!! I could have spent the entire day at this cozy place, with its perfect inside atmosphere, along with the awning outside and view across the quaint small street on a snowy afternoon. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with staff member O, who is from Oregon, and to hear her heartfelt passion about working at The Farmhouse Juice and Wellness Shop. Cassondra is so friendly and welcoming as well!! What great service!!!!! These ladies are so nice and they make coming here very enjoyable!!!! I only wish I lived in West Jefferson so I could visit this wonderful treasure every single day. Thank you to the owners for creating such an incredible place for those of us who enjoy healthy eating. I just updated my review. Since my original post, I have been back to the Farmhouse and found the same great experience each time. Again, I say “Thank You” for such a great place to relax and eat very delicious and healthy food.

I love how fresh the ingredients are. Açaí bowl is just what you need on a beautiful sunny day. So refreshing. I also enjoy the breakfast sandwiches.
Update: visited again recently and they changed from Farmhouse to Kitchen Table Games due to new ownership. Not feeling it!! The vibe is way off and their direction seems a bit confusing. Feels also like a food court in a grocery store. No more fresh juices which is a bummer. On the positive side the staff is nice.

Disappointing, the website made it seem like nicer food (as did the price of the sandwiches). I got the turkey sandwich, it came with three thin slices of turkey and one slice of cheese, the quality of a sandwich I could make at home. The side was a handful of Tostitos-like tortilla chips which was also odd. My partner’s veggie sandwich was flavorless and also came with a handful of tortilla chips that tasted straight from a grocery store. I guess this would be a good place to grab a sandwich while playing the board/card games (also wasn’t expecting that based on the online site), but still a bit overpriced for what you get and definitely not what we thought it would be.

Stopped for a soup & sandwich on our way out of town. Superb curry chicken sandwich—flavorful, filling, on substantial bread. Messy, of course, so if you get it to go make sure you have a good supply of wipes. Excellent tomato soup too…between a soup and a bisque. Friendly service, inclusive vibe, lots and lots of games.

Kitchen Table Games is amazing; they serve the best smoothies and so many games to play or even buy while in their store. Nate and Mikayla were so nice and helpful. I'm definitely coming here again.

I always hate to do this but in this case, it's very necessary because first, it's a warning to people going there to eat. Secondly, it's an opportunity for the establishment to correct their actions. First, while the gentleman at the counter was extremely awkward and slow, he was nice. But, the food experience was horrifying. This is basically a boardgame shop with a microwave. We paid $54 for three people to have breakfast....a smoothie and a small, cold sandwich. We instantly took it to the trashcan and threw it it away. In addition, it took over an hour to receive despite the fact that We were the only table there for most of the time.

Awful! Be advised that this restaurant has changed hands. We went before with the previous owners and it was amazing. It is now nothing close to what it once was. The avocado toast that we ordered had such a layer of salt dumped on it that it was completely inedible - we left and had to find lunch somewhere else, that’s how bad it was.
