Sea Blue Coffee & Ice Cream

So we got a coffee and something from the gift shop that came to $28 plus. It came up on the screen to do a suggested tip and the minimum tip was suggested at $4 dollars which was 15% which included the item that I just bought from the gift shop that was $20. Went ahead and tipped them the $4 dollars for making the coffee because they were standing there watching the screen to see what I put in so you look cheap if you try to put something different. As they were making the coffee I asked for a sample of the banana Fat Elvis ice cream because I wasn’t sure I would like that banana flavor and he said they are sorry they don’t give samples. Really … I just spent $28 in your store and tipped you $4 dollars for making a coffee and you can’t even give me a bite of the overpriced ice cream to see if I like it before I buy it? All the other ice cream shops on the island allow you to do that. But that’s OK I’ll just buy my ice cream and coffee from them from now on. It would’ve been different if there was a crowd around when I asked for a sample of the ice cream but we were the only ones in the shop. So basically that tiny denied sample cost your business instead of bringing your business. ☹️

Did not try the coffee but the ice cream was entirely overpriced for the amount served. $6 for a small that was more like a kids anywhere else. Good ice cream, but not nearly good enough to charge $6 for that small of an amount. Lots of other great ice cream places nearby this one that are better tasting, better priced, and better portioned.

We visited twice. First, for the delicious ice cream. The waffle cones were crisp and delicious! We went back for coffee later in the week. They are one of the only local coffee shops to have nitro cold brew! They have a large variety of coffee flavors, milk options (and milk substitutes). They have a large selection of coffee free drinks, too. The coffee was by far the best we had and the owners were super kind and friendly. They are pet friendly and if you visit when it isn't busy, your pups might get a special sweet treat like ours did!

Flavor selection is limited but also chosen to perfection! The strawberry and PB cookie dough are AMAZING. Great service, unique little spot. Definitely a must stop!

Finally a place to get delicious, creamy ice cream on the island!! Stopped in here recently for the first time and will definitely return. The ice cream selection was great!! .....I got a toasted coconut flavor! My favorite and not easy to find. My husband had one infused with bourbon 😋......also quite yummy!! Looking forward to trying their coffee next. Their gift selections are unique and colorful! And the service top notch!! Thank you Mark and Elsie for opening your shop..... a lovely addition to our seaside town.

Amazing people that run the place. Best coffee on the Island. A must go to place if your on Topsail Island.

Serving size for the price wasn’t there but everything else was spot on. Will visit again.

Good ice cream, nice shop inside, and cool owners!

Cute place, with a pretty good cappuccino and good ice cream. Prices are quite good for the beach, I'd say! I honestly wasn't blown away by the quality of anything but we had good service and tasty treats without fuss. I'd go again!

Really neat coffee shop with great coffee, and an awesome atmosphere. I loved looking around at the gifts while waiting for my drinks. Very neat gift options that are not things you see everywhere. Wonderful woman/owner at the register was happily willing to adjust my drink to 2 shots (instead of their standard of 3). Friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.
