I'm a coffee snob. I have decent equipment at home. I've bought / ordered espresso from all the local joints, all the "high-end" mail orders, everything. Unless you roast your own, to perfection and to your own delight, Global Village espresso is hands-down the best.
Always nice staff, nice owner (who is, quite expectedly, a coffee enthusiast and artisan), cool location, cool design.
I've been going there for 10 years now... will go longer!
If your biggest concern in a cafe is power outlets, consider the possibility you're missing the point. Perhaps Starbucks is more your speed (mirthful, ironic laugh).

Great coffee, pleasant staff. They actually have moist cinnamon buns, not dry like everyone else's.

I was sconed!! The coffee is perfectly roasted....pair it with one of their freshly baked scones...maple pecan 😋...a great start to any day. Friendly staff and enough room to be seated comfortably with space.

Visited Global Village on an 8th grade field trip to NC State with my daughter and it was so worth it! Wonderful coffee! Loved that it’s Organic and the homemade cashew milk they use makes amazing drinks!! I’ll be back for sure!!

I appreciate how seriously Mike and his crew take coronavirus safety measures, while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. Mask wearing required while walking about the shop and standing in line. Mask off ok when at the tables. Tables well spaced. Etc.
Please ignore (and stay way more than six feet away from) the fool below who thinks all this is too much. And btw, it smells like coffee at Global Village. Very good coffee.

Apparently they were the first to enter deuce organic coffee in the triangle area. What I know is the coffee is outstanding and the cream is organic and the pastries are made fresh every day.they been in business over 15 years they're right across from state the one thing to note is parking can be a little bit of a challenge on Hillsborough Street.

The place is very nice, it has good coffee options and you can tell the beans are from Latin America.
It hasn't been easy for me to find good coffee as a Colombian, but this place definitely kept up to my expectations.

I love their customer service! The guy even asked how my day was going... and smiled! His employee (I'm assuming) rang me up incorrectly but I didn't know. When she went to fix my order, he quoted me a price about $0.50 less and let her know what the mistake was off to the side. I'm not sure what the difference was but I appreciated his honesty!
They have a great selection of beverages. I got my first ever Golden Milk. I accidentally drank it too fast and nearly burnt my tongue off lol. I made a sour face not noticing that he saw that. Before I got my food, he came over and said that the Golden Milk was an acquired taste and offered to replace it with something else! That was amazing but I just explained that I wasn't being cautious, didn't sip it slowly BUT I liked it! He recommended honey to cool down my drink and also to enhance the taste. This guy was top notch.
Last but not least, when I started eating my food on the road, it took everything in me not to turn back around. I had ordered their breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and Canadian bacon on an English muffin. I also found out that it had a sauce on it. It seemed like a lemon aioli but I could be totally wrong. The cheese was gooey like I love it, the muffin was toasted perfectly, the egg was seasoned and the aioli topped it off! I almost turned around to buy two more. I just had the crumb cake for breakfast and yet again, I was delighted.
I'll definitely be returning and I'll definitely remember to rack up on those sandwiches next time. 😋 I would like to visit when it's slower so that I can relax, eat inside and enjoy the company of those who know how to treat their customers. 💜

The best coffee in the Triangle. Great decor, very down to earth staff, and really interesting flavor combinations make this a really great dive. I recommend the "Hot Hot Mocha", which is flavored with what I believe is a bit of Chipotle. All of my love.

The cutest little place I've ever been to! Great coffee, friendly staff and a cozy setting make for time well spent. Best visited on a rainy day! :)
