This coffee shop has a lovely atmosphere and many items to choose from. The coffee is delicious. I didn't get a chance to eat but the menu items look extraordinary! Also, it's not listed on the menu but they serve Homeland creamery ice cream! I will definitely be back.
First time in and it was great. Inviting space, great options for both food and drink. Had the chai tea latte and it was good, not too sweet. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Perfect space to hang, friendly faces and bomb coffee! The seasonal S'mores latte was perfectly flavored but not sickly sweet! Great for true coffee lovers ☕ One of the best chai lattes I've ever had. Pricing is right on par with high quality, specialty coffee.
This place is awesome! Great drinks, food, and staff. Love the look and feel of the place. Perfect spot to talk with friends or get some work done. Looking forward to enjoying the outdoor patio when the weather warms up!
(3.5 stars) Kindred is the newest tenant in the former Miller's Market space, but they are not new to the coffee game. If you remember buying coffee from a VW Bus in the former Black Dog Home lot a few years back, these are the same folks. They are on a limited coffee-only menu while they are starting out but will be adding food (and nitro cold brew) in the future.
As with the building's previous occupant, Kindred's space is bright and clean. The proprietors are personable and passionate about what they do, and they use a quality product (HEX Coffee, a specialty roaster out of Charlotte). The caramel latte I tried this morning was smooth and satisfying.
That said, Kindred's pricing is simply not competitive. My 12-ounce latte ran $5.75, and a 12-ounce peppermint mocha with oat milk was $6.75. Coffee that was miles ahead of everything available locally could perhaps justify the cost, but that wasn't the case here.
I will likely reappraise once Kindred has gotten a chance to expand its offerings. For their sake (and mine - it would be very convenient to have a coffee stop on the way to work), I hope that they are able to stick.
Great positive atmosphere. Fantastic cup of coffee. And the best thing is the baristas “know” coffee. They understand the science behind making good coffee. Treat yourself and visit Kindred!
