My 4 year old son and I go here often in the mornings. They are always very kind and inviting, remember our names and entertain his stories and questions. He calls this place "his ice-cream shop". I get coffee and sometimes food. We start our days at 5am usually so about 9am he gets ice-cream for a snack as he makes his round to his 6 or so stops to see his friends at the local shops and the banks on his bicycle. He especially likes Beth and Jeff.

Great spot for coffee and food, with numerous other gift items and provisions to browse. Coffee is roasted in house, with many whole bean varieties to take home. Similarly, a large tea wall provides wide variety for the tea lover. Breakfast sandwiches are generously sized and tasty, and come at a very low price compared to many breakfast options. The staff was all friendly, and our food was quickly available. The only other feedback I have is that the lemon blueberry scone was a bit dry, and a little light on flavor and sweetness. Otherwise, the overall experience was terrific.

Lovely eclectic coffee shop with local art and great coffee, pastries, and food. Lots of atmosphere. We stopped for lunch, and I had soup that was weirdly thick. The soup wasn't my favorite, but I love the place and recommend the coffee.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Hickory. The food is amazing. Great vibe. Friendly staff. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or eat meat, they have choices. Today a group of us went, me being vegan, another had to have gluten free options, another wanted meat. Everyone had plenty of options.

For the first time in my life I was told that our table had overstayed our time in a restaurant. We were with another couple and still eating dessert when a staff member told us 1.5 hours was the most we could stay because they had a limited number of tables. At that moment no one was waiting for a seat . It was rude and I will not return.

Oh, wow. This place was a real find. I'm so grateful for the coffee shop search button on my GPS apps on my phone--they take me to some of the best places that aren't a Dunkin' Donuts. Beautiful coffee, the Green Goddess bowl was outta this WORLD, and the selection of coffee paraphernalia and unique gifts and local art was a balm for the soul. I'm really happy I found this place and look forward to returning.

I love when you have to come a small town and find a little (probably family own) business.
Wonderful place to sip an aromatic cup of coffee; the people working behind the counter are very cordial and helpful, taking their time to explain all the many different options they have available; not the dreadful feeling you get a some big coffee chains (where you better know the names of their different options) no this place is a great experience with the abundance of options and also very cozy

My husband and I stopped here on a trip to Asheville. I loved the atmosphere of the place. It felt very homey. We are avid tea drinkers and we wanted to try their loose leaf tea. He got the hazelnut orange and I got moon over Madagascar. Both were good! We also got some ounces of tea to take home with us. The price was awesome! I think for three ounces I paid 10-12 bucks? I have paid that for ONE ounce. If I'm ever in hickory again I'll be sure to stop by! Oh. They also have keto options for dessert! A little sweet for my taste but it was still good!

I hesitate to give this review, as I am not a local and my experience was the first only experience with this shop. I understand that sometimes there is an off day or under-trained staff, etc. I was very excited to visit this shop for a snack and a quick coffee to go for my road trip. I went out of my way to enter the town to stop here because I had done some quick scanning before my journey and saw that the shop was highly rated and seemed to have many food items that spoke to me.
When I stopped in, I took a look around and could not see any sign of the extensive food menu that I had viewed online. Maybe I did a poor job of looking, but I was in a rush to get back on the road and they were closing soon. Because the menu was not obvious, I just asked about the muffins. The employee mentioned she had not tried all the muffins and couldn't advise me, so I went with the Chai. I also ordered a medium latte for my journey.
I cannot even express to you how disappointed I was to find that my coffee was probably the worst I had tasted in my life. It had a very strange taste. It was also WAY too hot, which I take as a sign of an inexperienced or poorly trained employee. I couldn't even power through the flavor for the sake of the caffeine for my drive. I threw it away after 2 very painful (b/c of taste) sips. And the muffin. was. awful. I was so hungry that I choked down half of it anyway, but the chai flavor was sharp, bitter, and unappealing. No, it's not that I can't handle spice or don't know what masala chai is supposed to taste like. I have tasted a variety of masala chai combinations and flavor profiles. This was just very poorly executed.
Edit: I received a response from Taste Full Beans and they confirmed that my experience was likely a timing issue, as the employee was in training. I appreciate the speedy and earnest reply, and will give it another go when next I am on the road.
