Piece of France Pastry Shop grand opening was 12-10-2022.
I am happy that this France pastry shop has opened in Greenville, and it's certainly one of the best in pastry shops in the neighbourhood.
There is something special about Piece of France Pastry Shop - it's not your typical Pâtisserie du coin.
First, the Cafe strives to achieve the perfect combination of impeccable service and exceptional food for each and every guest. They focus on the guest satisfaction and invite everyone to experience a cuisine unlike any other. With a reputation for delicious French Pastry.
I had the opportunity to speak with Chef Marc Francois & his family, they are wonderful people. The chef is from France and was trained in France. He graduated from prestige culinary arts school in Aix-En-Provence (France) with over 15 years of experience.
Chef Marc Francois and his family are happy to bring a Piece of France
in Greenville, North Carolina where we can all experience a Piece of France in East Carolina.
We ordered the French Toast and hot chocolate and Ménage à Tois Omelette.
1. The French Toast is made with fresh Brioche stuffed with chocolate gingerbread ganache and topped with candied pecans & vermont maple syrup.
This French toast which I ordered is a dense and flavourful breakfast & brunch meal that delivers a perfect punch of sweetness and enriching flavours first thing morning.
2. Ménage à Toit Omelette - Tois egg omelette loaded with cheese, lardon shallots and roasted potatoes ... served with butter croissant.
My girlfriend had the Ménage à Toit Omelette and all she could say is it was savory and flavourful. The ingredients they use are obviously high quality and it was mouthwatering. 😅 With this description, I am going to have to try it for myself. lol
As you walk in into the pastry shop, you are first greeted in French ... "Bonjour" by the staff. As a French man, I appreciated this.
The service is friendly, from the chef to the staff: They can answer any questions you have. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I enjoyed speaking with other French speaking customers that were there. We all agreed that this was brilliant and we hope that the local French club would start meeting here.
If you're in the neighbourhood, Piece of France is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!
Chef Marc, félicitations!!

Charming pastry shop! Nice staff, everything is clean, and they have great pastries and the tarts are terrific.
Glad to have this in Greenville!

Came for coffee and croissants to check it out. Hubby said his vanilla latte was really good. I tasted it and was impressed with the layered flavors. Friendly staff. Croissants were HUGE.

I absolutely love this place! It's always fully stocked, and very clean! I've really enjoyed each pastry that I've tried, but my favorite is the almond croissant!
The staff is always very friendly and helpful!
The desserts are beautiful! I've purchased several treats to give to family and friends, and they loved them!
There's plenty of space to park, but a line (inside) can form fast. The wait time in line isn't normally long.
Great place!

This place had the most amazing quiches. My chocolate croissant was amazing with the perfect amount of chocolate.

The chef at Pieces of France has brought a true gem to Greenville. The food is delicious. Obviously high quality ingredients that yield tasty savory flavors. Impressive portions in a simple but refined presentations. Lovely coffees and teas. One of the best omelettes I’ve tasted. Quiche is beyond good as are the croissants and the crème brûlée is an experience.

Not really what I was expecting, but a cute place that leaned hard into the theme. The bakery items were pretty good, really enjoyed the macarons. Everything looks so good but we both limited ourselves to two items. There were older patrons there for breakfast and one individual there with a computer working, I wouldn't spend all day there but you could study for a few hours. I did enjoy the coffee, they had a specialty flavor for February that was delicious!

First experience, and we tried the lovely raspberry tarts! Absolutely delicious. Truly a treasure to have a piece of Europe here in Greenville!

Quiche Florentine is outstanding! The crossaint are amazing! And the macarons are great! I’ve been to Paris / France a handful of times and this truly rivals. For Greenville, NC? This is authentic and undeserving of this town!

Second visit deserves a review.. Meals both times were incredibly yummy. Their lattes are the best, especially praline. All of their syrups are house made so even if you get a regular cup of Joe, opt to add a shot. Second visit I came solo with my newborn and one of the staff assisted me to my car with my order, that's above and beyond customer service!!! Other worthy mentions- bathrooms are clean with a changing table and foot stool for the little ones to wash their hands. Also, to go coffee cups and lids are compostable, other restaurants should get on board with this too. Will definitely return!
