Now that my full name is posted you don’t have to comment saying u know who I am. And hopefully this review doesn’t mysteriously get taken off google, because the people of Greensboro need to know the truth. This business is poorly ran by a helicopter parent of a manager (Candy) who is very untrusting of her employees in my experience. Don’t get me wrong, the employees are amazing and they deserve to be treated well, it’s purely management whom I have issues with. Expired dairy products and pastries from Costco (which is very obvious) marked up to crazy prices and constant audio and video surveillance throughout the store even though it is not posted for customers to be aware of. Management claims I was fired for “breaking company policies” but it really is because I do not deal with disrespectful managers and quit after not even a month of work. Google admin, if this gets reported please do not remove it, I am the only person who is telling the truth about the business.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Greensboro. When you experience kind and courteous and Good Coffee, then you are at the best place. Thanks Jennifer for your always kind welcome and how you remember my love for coffee with honey in it. Ruths follow-up with making sure my second cup coffee had the right amount of honey in it. I met Drew for the first time today and his Barista knowledge as well as kindness is a great mix of what Green Joes is all about. Can’t wait till my next cup of Greenjoes coffee and my time sitting at the bar.

The entire green joes staff is lovely. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel welcomed. Tess with the beautiful hair always makes my drink to perfection. Thank you Candy for running a very efficient establishment that never fails to deliver great service.

Green Joes is my absolute favorite coffee shop ever! This is my go to place to study and get work done. I love the coffees, the atmosphere and of course the best barista to ever grace us with her presence… the one and only JENN!!

I've been to literally hundreds of coffee shops all up and down the east coast but this place is one of my favorites!
My favorite drink here is the flat white, you should definitely stop by and give it a try!
They sell a variety of locally roasted whole bean coffees, all of which are delicious. (And yes, I've tried them all!)
The staff is knowledgeable of their craft and willing to help you customize your beverage to you liking!

Best place to get things done or to just chill. Claire and Jennifer were so amazing and very friendly staff who made sure me and my friends were good. I love the hospitality we received. Best place ever, make sure to check them out!!

I've been an off/on customer of Green Joe's for many years now. Prior to the pandemic, I lived abroad, and would always make an effort to come in when I was home. Now that I'm back, it's my workspace away from home as a freelancer.

The environment is great for work. There is a lot of space, many seating options (bar, small tables, large tables for groups, a lounge area, outdoor seating), and it's not hard to find a spot. The WiFi is great most of the time. The music is up my alley and also not too loud if you'd rather tune it out.

The baristas are always very friendly and willing to chat if you're up for it. Even when they're incredibly busy and dealing with perhaps not so patient customers, they have a great attitude.

The coffee is usually great, certainly better than Starbucks and probably the best option on all of Battleground. However, I find the quality to be inconsistent sometimes. One day you'll have an excellent latte with all the lovely robust notes of the espresso coming through. Some days it tastes almost weak, like there isn't enough espresso or there is too much syrup. I've noticed new faces behind the counter pretty frequently over the last months, so I don't know if they are having a turnover issue that causes this inconsistency or what.

At any rate, I would say the coffee is great 80% of the time, which means I will keep showing up as long as I'm on this side of Greensboro. I'm only pointing this out because years back the quality was on par or above some downtown options, and now it feels that's slipping a bit, which I really don't want to happen as this is my regular spot. This slight bit of criticism comes from a place of love!

EDIT: They earned their star back. Coffee has been consistently great in recent months, and it seems like the only place in town that can make a macchiato Euro-style. Excellent cortado as well. I've enjoyed getting to know the staff better - they are a friendly bunch that will make you feel welcome!

Green Joe's is one of my favorite coffee shops. The delightful atmosphere is a great reprieve from doing my work in a solitary office. The baristas are generous with drink and snack recommendations. One of the most welcoming baristas is Jennifer. A few months ago, after she provided me my coffee cake and coffee I told her that I was being spoiled, she said, " no, this is not spoiling, it's called being well cared for." The comment stopped me in my tracks and provided me an inquiry as to what is the meaning of hospitality and how it ought to feel to the recipient. Jennifer as well as the other baristas understand what meeting guests needs looks and feels like. They are all so very passionate about coffee. And any time I see Green Joe's owner, I'm sure to tell her, that I love her coffee shop.

The customer service from Marie was an absolute delight! They were very helpful with suggestions on the smoothies! I will definitely be visiting again.

I always enjoy a quiet space & a great cup of java! These guys & gals are simply 100%! The staff members are friendly, down to earth, and super knowledgeable on coffee! I truly appreciate you guys allowing my coworker & I to take photos for our Instagram post! The lattes are wonderful! Just strong enough and smooth. The whole cafe is clean, even the seating areas. It is a great atmosphere for meetings, couples, and the solo book reader!
