Never fails as the perfect spot for a bike ride pit stop! Scones are marvelous especially with a hot latte for a little java jolt. And the staff are great! Talk to the baristas, you wont regret it. After all, being friendly makes the world better anyway. And when you have your cup of awesome, go sit out on the deck and listen to the river, see the cool potted plants and repurposed industrial architecture. Unique and worth it every single time. Its a journey and a destination in one

I've had the opportunity to visit this establishment on three different occasions. The first time I visited was a blustery, dark morning and the anticipation was sending shivers through my spine as I grabbed the door... it was locked.
The second time was much better. It was summer, the river was flowing, flower blossoms were showing, kyakers happily rowing, and I was feeling on top of the world. I took the wheelchair ramp so that I could really experience the full effect of the entrance. As I walked toward the door I could smell the coffee in my mind. I could almost taste it as I vigorously yanked on the front door to go in and order everything in sight. It was locked.
The third and final time that I went to this location was much more recently. Let me tell you all something today, the third time really is the charm. The third time is where all the magic happened and when I finally got to experience this place for what it truly is. I pulled in the parking lot and luckily there was one spot available. Finally there were other people around so I knew this was going to be the best time ever. I parallel parked with ease and pulled my hand brake. Several deep breaths later, I burst out of my car and sprinted up the steps toward the doors as fast as I could. I grabbed the door and flung it wide open and stumbled inside. It was a ghost town, everything seemed to be on and functioning except there was nobody around. I walked around the counters and opened the register just to see if anyone might be hiding in there, but couldn't find anyone. After eating a piece of cake and reading a book, I decided to just leave the money I owed in the tip jar so that I would not incur any karmic debt. I'm sure someone works here, I probably just came in while they were taking out the cardboard or something. Updates will come if I get to try the coffee this year.
UPDATE: there was a whole bunch of people in there today but they said there's a wedding... Closed. Nice people though, can't wait to try the coffee. Hoping for a cup by 2022, that's why they call it cup 22 so it makes sense now. I love this place. Updates coming within the year if time allows.

It's almost 2022 so I'm getting excited for the grand opening. Someone said they opened already but I went by on Christmas and nobody was there. I know the coffee is good, I've heard the rumors around the town. When I do try it, I'm hoping to leave a more detailed review

I think my wife tried the coffee, one of the folks that used to work here came back from a safari and reopened it or something. I've only heard rumors, and basically the coffee is ground up on-site and served to your liking. I'll try it soon, but I usually just make coffee around 5:15am and have two cups before work. I'll tell my friends to go here though, I love this place.

So happy this place is open!!!!! Can’t recommend the coffee enough. Soooo good! Please stop here and grab something! They don’t discriminate against people who can’t tolerate masks due to health issues, at least that was my experience. Love it! Will be back!

Gorgeous views from the big glass windows, solid coffee selection, plus a small selection of fresh-baked goods. Staff are always friendly. WiFi is available and it's common for locals to sit for a while to work on laptops. Definitely a gem of a coffee shop.

Great local coffee shop and performance space

Funky friendly atmosphere, plenty of space to work or socialize as you see fit. Adjacent to/part of the highly popular Haw River Ballroom, which is part of a revitalized textile mill in rural NC. Baristas are skilled and fresh pastry selections every day, baked in the same building. Good music, great view including a stunning deck overlooking the Haw River. Saxapahaw is an experience well worth the trip, and a great day trip from both the Triangle and Triad. The only problem I ever have had there has been a wifi signal, but I have generally had excellent wifi on my laptop there.

I love this place, and regardless of the fact that the lattes are much higher price than anywhere else, I was happy to pay out and sit in the space and look at the river and the big Hall....

This place was closed the last time we visited, even if they said they are open.

Good coffee, they use Joe Van Gough's coffee beans. Wide and typical selection of espresso and coffee beverages. You can also get tea if coffee is not for you. They have some treats like scones but variety is dependent on the day. Great place to get coffee and then maybe go for a walk by the river in some warm weather
