Foster Street Coffee

Our first time - service was excellent, and the coffee and lattes were delicious. Lots of seating, and even with lots of people it wasn't noisy. Will definitely return soon!

Last stop in NC before I headed back home, and I found this gem! Great atmosphere, spacy environment, comfy music, great Barista’s, and lastly great coffee! Although the Barista’s didn’t know what a John Wayne or and UnderTow was (could just be a my city thing) they were able to make it with no hesitation! Had to buy a bag beans while I was there!

Some of the best espresso drinks I’ve had. It’s a regular staple for me at this point. The atmosphere is bright and easy to study in, the staff are friendly, and the drinks are always well made. Make sure to catch their weekly dad joke out front too!

Update: I've been ordering their food recently too and really enjoy their light and tasty options. Refreshing food that doesn't weigh you down.

Cozy little spot. The seating is pretty spread out. It was also pretty crowded when we went. Overall ok - the drinks aren’t great tasting.

Foster Street has great coffee, a clean inviting atmosphere, and the friendliest staff! They've quickly become my favorite downtown coffee shop. I highly recommend the cold brew, it's the perfect pick-me-up on a warm day!

Superb chai tea latte and have several non-dairy options. Staff was very friendly and they're even starting up a kitchen with great eats! Also, have plenty of distanced seating and a private room for small group meeting/studying. Highly recommended!!!

Hands down the best coffee shop in Durham!! I've tried other shops since I moved here and Foster Street is the best in my opinion. I went tonight with my husband and I got the Blackberry Mocha. It was delicious and exactly what I needed tonight. I love how they have a lot of room to relax, work and enjoy your coffee. It is a beautiful shop and in the perfect location. Definitely check it out!

Best chai tea latte I’ve had in the area, great customer service. Not much street parking but they’ll validate your ticket from the nearby warehouse parking deck.

For starters, the coffee is fantastic and they often have seasonal drinks you can try! Great place to either meet with a friend, study, etc…very chill environment with Wi-Fi and several power outlets spread throughout so you aren’t scrambling to plug in your laptop! The location near Durham Food Hall and Central Park is very ideal.

This is a good spot if you live in Downtown Durham or work on this side of downtown. (Better to walk or bike here, than park) Immediately upon walking in I see that the atmosphere is open and bright. The staff is somewhat friendly when I went in around 10:30 on a Thursday morning. (Great customer service goes a long way for me) I had one person in front of me and I ordered a dirty chai to go. Waited about 10 minutes for them to have my drink ready. The drink was pretty tasty and reasonably priced. They definitely do things differently here- they don’t get their beans from a roaster, beans are actually unblended. Bakery selection was ok, I see it depends on the day- Guglhupf pastries offered so I know that’s good! Parking is a challenge. Parallel parking available around 3 sides of the Liberty apartments, put its pay parking only and difficult to even find a spot. There’s parking off of Foster St behind the YMCA parking on a road that is terribly paved and full of potholes but it’s the only free option if you plan on parking there for 2 hours or less. Overall, this is a spot I’d only stop at if I were running an errand on this side of downtown or going to a show at Motorco around the corner. Not a shop I’d go out of my way to go to.
