"Hartsell Funeral Homes began in the 1860s when Jacob Hartsell, a local cabinet and coffin maker, began offering funeral services to his community in Midland, North Carolina. What started as a way to serve his community, has branched into several other methods in which the Hartsell family helps to “Celebrate Life.” This coffee shop is dedicated to Jacob Hartsell and his hard work cultivating a family tradition of service to others. We serve coffee, but we’re not your typical coffee shop. Inspired by Jacob Hartsell, we’ve created a space where ideas bloom and conversations flow. We’ve made a conscious decision to enjoy every moment life has to offer. Come and stay awhile. Enjoy the aroma of life!"

Cute little coffee shop attached to a funeral home. They don't offer much in the way of food or pastries. The coffees were very good. There is an outdoor seating area as well.

Would have loved to enjoy this cute coffee-shop but they do not accept cash and I couldn't use my credit card today. Was trying to purchase coffee for myself and take a coffee to my husband who works nearby. Be prepared before you go that they do not accept cash.

I tried to support them and go to them when they first opened..they didn’t take cash..only cards..so they turned me away..Starbucks takes my cash when I order with cash..so I stick with them..I’m sure their coffee is great..but they turned my paper money away.. I will never go back..

This coffee shop has hired the best manager in the business. I have been buying coffee from Sydney for the last 9 years. Great customer service, knows how to make the perfect Latte.
