This place is simply oozing with personality. Off the beaten path, literally, it's a gem worth finding. The hostess was great. I got the pecan-crusted chicken entre and it was fantastic.

This is my second one star review., normally no place deserves one star. This place deserves one because of the pretentious hostess. She is beyond rude and defines the word pompous. The food is excellent if you can tolerate her.

Spent a lovely week in Blowing Rock, NC. The Village Cafe was recommended by my sister and it did not disappoint! We sat out in their courtyard. The waitress was a sweetheart and the food amazing. The Cafe makes their own Fugasa sourdough bread that makes really good French toast. The Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch. We went about 11 and were able to get either. Coffee was excellent. Highly recommend this Blowing Rock treasure! 💖

The staff and servers are very friendly, and the breakfast was exceptional! I had the Eggs Benedict and the toast with preserves. The eggs were so fluffy, and the hollandaise was top notch. The preserves were excellent, and they are not stingy with it. I would recommend Village Cafe to anyone!

Food overpriced, let alone the rude behavior of the wait staff and managers. They only care about getting money and not about the customers experience. We were rushed out of the restaurant as soon as it seemed like we were done. Keep in mind our 7 year old daughter was still trying to finish her food. Managers walked up to us and told us to leave. When our daughter started crying because of the rude behavior of the staff they asked the the other tables around us if they’d like to be moved. Never eating here again.

We just came to this place . They where really races against me, my wheelchair and my dog.
Bad business, all the tables where empty outside more than 10 tables available. The people who was with us in another restaurant came there to. The lady let them inside without a reservation and they where fine. But us she look me up and down and said call next time. Really hurt when people go by color skin. I don’t recommend this place by the attitude and discrimination of this old lady.

Absolutely loved lunch here today! An almost hidden pathway from the street leads the way down to the space. So many lovely outdoor tables surrounded by trees! Food was great (get the tomato soup with smoked gouda) and our waitress, Lyla, was very sweet. Blowing Rock gem.

Yummy food, great atmosphere outdoors in the garden terrace.

Quaint place, the outside appearance may dissuade you from going, but don't allow that to influence you. The food was great, the service was great. Would visit again when I'm back in the area.
