Muffins And Scones

Stopped in to pickup some goodies for our vacation condo. Such a cozy place. Food was delicious. Staff was helpful.

Very clean place, good quality products. The sea salt bagel was way too salty for me and bagel in general were too thick (dense). Specialities sandwichs are good and so are the pastries! We didn't get the 5,50$ Fresh orange juice...... though it was a bit expensive.

So we come to the OBX every year and the bakery I wanted didn’t have a “cake maker” on staff currently so I went to Muffins and Scones…They were AMAZING!! When I went to order the cake the lady told me to sit down to have a conversation about my sister to understand her and what we really wanted the cake to represent and it was sooo thoughtful. I ordered the cake Friday and picked it up today (Sunday) and not only was it delicious but we were floored by the detail they put into making this special and what we wanted….10 STARS!!! Thank you!

cute little place. decent size selection... carry out only at the moment. I ordered a chocolate chip scone.... crunchy outside.. moist inside.. so good! will be coming back here.

Delicious bakery/coffee shop with lots of vegetarian options! The place is clean, cute and quaint. Don't let it fool you...the food is great. I had scones and coffees, the family had bagels, muffins and more...all thought it was great....my biggest regret? Not getting a piece of the carrot cake to go...

Flies in the bakery… But that made me try something else which was bagel sandwich.

The bagel sandwich was really really good. I hope there were no flies in the kitchen.

Purchased a blueberry turnover and mini chocolate cake with cream cheese. The blueberry turnover didn't have very many blueberries at all, mostly puffed dough and lots of sugar on the top. The mini chocolate cake was described to have cream cheese inside, however didn't see very much of that at all, and I was looking hard for it. Both sweets had a very good taste, just didn't deliver on content as described. I don't like giving negative reviews but would want to know if this was my business.

The smores brownie and tiny pineapple cake were pretty good. The $50 strawberry shortcake cake that I ordered was fine, taste wise. But it said whipped vanilla icing and everyone (13 people) thought it tasted like whipped cream.....and it literally fell apart. Maybe because they didn't have enough time for the actual cake to cool or because it was clearly whipped cream...but ALSO.. It was put in a box that was TOO small and chunks of "icing" were missing from all over the sides of the cake.... I asked for it to be ready at 1pm. I left the house at 1pm. Got there at 1:10 and still had to wait 30 mins for the cake when she told me it'd only be 10 more minutes. The macarons weren't very good at all. The shell was rock solid and as someone who knows macarons, I was displeased. Gave 3 stars for taste and effort. But I, personally, won't be back.
