Sovereign Kava Bar

Chill enviorment. Definately could use some menus. I absolutely will be visiting again regardless.

Friendly, great atmosphere, super cool vibe. I went for poetry night. Not really a fan of Kava, but it's worth a little bitter drink for the fun.

Visiting from Florida and looking for some Kava family. The place looked great but unfortunately customers are banished to the parking lot. Kava tender was friendly and awesome. I strayed past the random collection of chairs apparently remarking the closed bar where the owner was sitting and enjoying himself - her immediately and rudely pronounced the area was closed and to get back on the other side of the gasket of chairs. Butt letting that bother me I wondered it to the space heater and meet some cool conversational folks and killed a few hours in conversation. Taking about local kava places and Florida kava places, most recommended I try some of the competitors in town.

Awesome staff, quality products. Always a good conversation to be had. Lots of friendly regulars.
Outside heaters for covid times. In the before times, there were always fun things going on (open mic night etc) I assume that will continue once things are more normal. Parking can be challenging.

In the past, I would frequent this place several times a week. Between live music, spoken word, and ping-pong, there's always something going on. A whole aesthetic. Sovereign is bouncing back from COVID well!

Charlie was absolutely amazing! Got a double and felt relaxed almost immediately. I have a history of using Kava Kava and his is by far the best ive ever had. They even cold brew it as it should be. I highly recommend this place to anybody, especially those seeking an alternative to alcohol.

Very laid back and fun place to meet great people. Never knew about Kava bars until visiting Asheville and coming across this place. A very good option from drinking alcohol! Great staff and friendly customers. Would visit again next time I am in town

I don’t make it down to Asheville often, but when I do, the kava bar is one of the highlights of my trip. Drink prices are reasonable, the bar is clean, the service is great. I haven’t seen to many of the live shows, but the ones I did were awesome. The atmosphere is amazing, but the best thing about this place genuinely is the people you meet.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Good drink choices for both Kava and Kratom. Comedy shows and other events that happen during the month. Overall incredible experience!
