Super funky spot. Kind of a hole in the wall place, but the coffee is really delicious and the baked goods are yummy too. The vibe is almost post-emo. The artwork is eclectic, and the place has a laid-back cool atmosphere!

Do not get the Mexican hot chocolate!! I order my food spicy/hot and enjoy it. After one sip my lips were burning. After bringing this up with the staff we were told “what am I supposed to do about it? Add more milk?” What happened to Southern hospitality? With so many other good options this place will be a pass for us from now on.

Lets start with the only thing good : the local art on the wall is nice.
Now, the service SUCKED. The lady who served me had an attitude the entire time. I ordered 2- triple espresso shots. I watched her make the espresso's, and only counted two shots. The coffee itself was a light brown, watered down color. I asked for some caramel flavoring, and it cost an extra 50 cents. And of course, she acted overly-dramatic about having to do the extra work of squirting caramel into my cup. The cup was a small paper cup. Like a Dixie cup. It barely held the two shots of espresso. I asked for a larger cup so I could add cream and sugar, and she said it would be an extra dollar. The board says for a triple shot espresso, it cost 2.25. Add the extra 50 cents for caramel, and it should cost 2.75 a piece. Somehow I was charged $7.00 for my two poorly made espresso's. The coffee itself tasted bitter and extremely watered down. I LOVE going to local coffee shops, but this place was a HUGE disappointment. And a HUGE ripoff. They charge Starbucks price, for quality way worse. I will NEVER go back, and I do NOT recommend it. If you are downtown, go to Old Europe Cafe, or the Double Decker. Save some money, and get better coffee.

The lavender mocha was incredible. Judging by other reviews, Izzy's does mochas really well. Their cookies are phenomenal too -- you must pick up the Chocolate Chip Cookie. Generous and chunky choco chips with coarse flaky salt and a deep molasses flavor in the cookie itself. What more can you ask for?

Not super welcoming. I’ve been in a TON of coffee shops. I had a question about one of the specials and the guy working looked at me like I was an idiot. It seemed like he had better things to do. Ordered an iced lavender chai and it tasted like milk. We sat down and I soon realized the guy’s lady friend was there so he was focused on things other than customer service. There are better options less than a block away.

Are used to love Izzy's... They have really good coffee, and it's sad that I was treated disrespectfully by the owner the last time that I bought a coffee there. I never went back after that. It's one thing for your average employee to be a jerk, but if you're the owner, and you treat your customers like they are beneath you, then don't expect any kind of loyalty whatsoever. Perhaps the attitude works with your average hipster, but not everybody is a hipster in this town, and some people appreciate being treated with respect when they patronize your establishment.

Overall the best coffee spot in Asheville. A regular coffee to stay is the most reasonably priced you will find downtown, and there is always a selection of light, medium or dark roasts. I also like that they offer an 8 oz to-go cup. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This is my go-to spot for a coffee break, work, or meeting with a friend.

Great little place for coffee on the go. The lady that helped us was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend the Mexican mocha and the rose and cardamom latte. We'll make this a destination on our next trip through.

Friendly service & amazing iced mate. The BEST veggie cream cheese I have ever had. Interesting atmosphere, but we took our coffee & bagels to-go. Definitely worth a visit for your morning caffeine fix.

Usually busy but great coffee place. I try to go by whenever I'm in the area which is a few times a year. The staff are usually friendly and quick. Don't get discouraged if you see a long line, it can get pretty busy. However, they move quickly and the coffee is always worth the wait.
