Hands down Best coffee shop in Asheville. I had quit drinking coffee for a number of years in favor of tea, but came here to get coffee with my wife over winter, and haven’t turned back since. They source coffee from the best roasters around the country and always keep things fresh and interesting.

The guy that takes you order seemed like I was bothering him to order. No pastry, no food. The coffee was bitter and unless you want to be treated rudely, I would pick any of the dozens of coffee shops in Asheville. Will not come again. The name Farewell makes sense now. It’s a one and done place to visit.

Always great coffee and small eats.

My reaction to seeing a sign along the sidewalk that advertises Coffee, Wine, Plants? Bout it. And that combination was very prevalent when you enter the Farewell coffee shop. They have a great barista bar and all over the shop are little green plants for sale. It makes it feel like a calm jungle inside while you sip on your drink. I enjoyed a small coffee with a splash of almond milk which was a perfect late afternoon pick me up as I transitioned from Bhramari to Burial. Looking forward to coming back the next time I’m in town

My bridesmaids and I stopped by for some coffee and the baristas were so incredibly kind! Not only did they make us delicious coffee, but they also gave us recommendations for other places and things to do around Asheville - we loved them all! The shop itself was so clean, full of gorgeous plants, respectful all COVID procedures, and overall such a neat little spot. Will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Asheville!

Came through on a road trip and really enjoyed my oat milk latte. I really appreciate the small details like the artwork on the cups. Thanks!

What a lovely coffee shop! It’s so bright and cheerful inside when th sunlight and plants. The service is super friendly. Very local vibe. We shared an ENORMOUS chocolate scone and a great Dirty Chai. So good!

Usually I like what I get. Usually pu-ehr tea. Today I tried the chai. Worst chai ever. Not much flavor. A mix between soap and warm milk. And I realized after he fact I paid $6 for a small, mediocre tasting puff pastry. It was worth more like $3.

We ordered capuccinos and there were just fine but they do not have good selection of pastries or food

They serve rotating coffees on drip from various roasters around the country and it’s THE. BEST. Drip Coffee I’ve ever experienced. Espresso selection also rotates out often and they serve some small baked goods that are always exciting and healthy (ish) haha.
Nice clean vibe that’s a little different than the rest of downtown AVL.
***edit. After living here for a year and being married to a local, I can confidently say farewell is the only coffee shop I need in Asheville.
