This guy is a expert in food and it shows. Real deal wholesome meal from a proper chef right in front of you. Definitely not greasy diner food, similar only everything is hand crafted, nothing is frozen and you can taste the difference. The guy knows his stuff and accommodates vegans as well. My meal was potatoes and sausage with chives from his garden this morning. The sausage was made by the chef, incredible. So fresh and so delicious, I feel energized after eating that. Really wholesome, the way diners should be.

Finally visited Golden's after seeing enough images of delicious looking food and specials every week. I was expecting to walk into a large, fancy diner, but was surprised to find the tiniest little corner diner I've ever been in. Small and comfortable with one dude working at the counter. The owner.
Jeff was friendly and impressive as a chef. Everything is prepared in plain site and the food and flavors are beyond anything I've had at another local diner. You'll have that "Oh this is my favorite place now" moment too I'm sure.
Price was so reasonable I had to double check to make sure I heard right. $20.80 for two breakfasts and coffees. I was sure it must've been $28.00, but nope.
Great experience, five stars all the way around. A "must visit" in Utica.

Amazing! Truly an excerpt out of chef Ramsay's book. Jeff is amazing company and an even better chef. People are looking for the old deli prices or Cafe prices and they go in there and they see that it's a higher-priced menu so they leave a bad review perhaps or worse pass on by and miss an opportunity to taste the most delicious food they have ever tasted for the price. He goes out and picks fresh vegetables every morning as well as other ingredients so that he can you have a unique menu even some particular items that are vegan-friendly. Keep up the good work Jeff

Great atmosphere. Decent amount of space even though it's a tiny wedge shaped building. The owner is a cool guy and a professional and likes to innovate with his specials and sometimes uses exotic vegetables or other ingredients. So far my first experience was simple and extremely satisfying. I ended up getting the pizza burger he had on special that day. Fantastic!

Unique, fresh, homemade food. Really good. Tiny place - but really nice. Great crepes as well as everything else on the great menu. Vegan specials Friday. A very easy 5 star place to eat.

Fantastic burgers—I had the “Utica Burger,”and my girlfriend had the “G-Mac.” Great tasting and cooked right in front of us by the owner, Jeff. We had a great time!
