If you're from nearby Albany and think you've had awesome confections from a popular place in Latham... forget it. Caruso's is old school cool and tastes like your Italian aunt made it. You'll be happy you stopped here.

Our family has been enjoying Caruso's since the 1960's. I have tasted cannoli all over, including Italy and can say Caruso's Pastry Shoppe makes the best, EVER!! The shell is thin and crispy, the filling perfectly creamy, MAGIC! Run cakes are a family tradition for all special occassions. Sfingi's are a St Joseph tradition along with the Zeppole's. Come on and have a taste, you won't regret it!!!

Went for the pusties and I did quite like them. New to me. Nice browned crust with sugar glaze. Filling tasty. Lemon, vanilla, chocolate.

Small family business.Their selection of "pusties" are to die for. The lobster tail pastry is better than any I've had in Boston's North End. Same with the sfogliatelle. Get a latte or espresso if the guy who makes them is there.

Fantastic traditional Italian food. All home made and you can taste it! Absolutely recommend!

First visit myself and the lattes are amazing and the pastries are all homemade right there and are as close to authentic Italian pastries as you'll get would highly recommend for any locals or visitors to stop in and give them a check out.

Delicious baked goods! Stumbled upon the bakery when asked to bring pastries to a nursing home. I went back everyday the remainder of my trip for vanilla pusties.
