Yummy, yummy drinks, very hip atmosphere with jazz and blues, LP covers on the wall and lots of art. They only take cash, and there is an ATM near the register.

Pleasant atmosphere and very tasty coffee. The layout is so neat! We love the books, music, and games set out for customer use.

Nice place in south Utica to get some good coffee and relax. The atmosphere is pretty chill with carefully selected background music and funky artwork on the walls. Haven't been in Utica long but i can already tell this place is a gem.

Been in the Utica area for over 20 years and since they opened they continue to be the cafe with the BEST coffee/espresso and BEST vibe in this area and region. They KNOW how to make a proper espresso, period! Most others simply do not.

My only regret is that I don't come here more often! Excellent local business with a lot of local products. I love the atmosphere and sitting outside when the weather is good. Now that they have Wi-Fi, I plan to get some work done there once in a while.

It would be hard for me to overstate how important I think Cafe Domenico is for the city of Utica. It has been the lifeblood of its quiet neighborhood for more than a decade, and its success has paved the way for other small businesses there. The corner of Genesee and Emerson now features an awesome bar (owned by the same family), a community/art/music center, an excellent pizza joint, and a specialty beer store, among other things. I believe pretty strongly that none would exist without it. Great coffee, warm, convivial atmosphere, and best of all, owners who are invested in the neighborhood and the customers they serve. Who could ask for more?
Oh and the lack of wifi is deliberate. I, for one, am thrilled there exists a place where every single person isn't glued to a screen.

This coffee shop has a great decor of historical musicians. Great place to enjoy a cup of joe while the kids play in the toy room underneath the stairs.

It's my brother's place to be up front with it. I must say though,
Orin is a master of many things, coffee being one of them. He only gets the best fair trade coffee and prepares it as intended. "cafe domenico" is the real thing! The cafe-culture exists here. Check it out, you might think that you're in Europe where people actually sit and talk over an expresso. It's not accidental, it's my brother's labour of love. It's his passion to bring Utica something different.
The ambiance here is also very real. You'll be surrounded by real art, be listening to the best music and probably have great conversation there...I always do. Plenty of intelligent people, as they know where to get the real stuff.
If you're like me and you seek the best experiences in life. This place is one of them!

We like the Hazelnut coffee, the most. The other blends are a bit flat for our taste. The price is great at 7.99 a lb. We like the waxed lined bags to keep the flavor in.

Loud, average coffee, average baked goods, a bit disorganized. It was hard to hear bits of conversation over the espresso machine and music. Could be just the spot for some, but not for me.
