Buds On Jay

We came to Schenectady for a Union College hockey game and came across Buds on Jay while walking through town. We had breakfast there and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. They have a number of options with a varied combination of ingredients. Everything was fresh, the staff was efficient and friendly and the coffee was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Went here twice on an overnight stay in town - once for just coffee, once for breakfast. It's small and chic and has two tables with playable arcade games built in. The lattes we had were delicious with super smooth espresso. For breakfast we had some of the homemade oatmeal and croissant breakfast sandwiches, both of which we enjoyed. Good vibes, great playlist choices, and fantastic service.

Best Breakfast sandwiches Downtown Schenectady hands down.. Always greeted with a smile. There rewards program is definitely an added incentive, because you'll be going back often. A delicious selection of Latte flavors. Excellent Service and Hospitality

The food is delicious and creative. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The staff was friendly and the menu looked great! Five stars for creativity and taste!
I only gave three stars as this wrap costs $12.99 plus tax. The wrap was far from full (two small pieces of chicken and a small handful of greens) and the pickle served appeared it was quartered from a spear. For that price I assumed bigger portions, I figured I could eat a half and have the other for lunch the next day. I think a better price for this menu item would have been $7.99.

Stopped by today for the first time at their opening, great first impressions! Everything we had was delicious from the made to order Lox Bagel to the grab and go breakfast pizza and bagel sandwiches. We even went back in for a blueberry scone to top off the meal. We are excited to come back and try the coffee everyone else seemed to be coming in for from the farmers market as well as other menu items. To top it off the staff was friendly and even in the middle of their first day open everything was super clean. Bud’s feels like a great addition to downtown Schenectady!

Super impressed with this place. The coffee is perfect, the grab and go breakfast sandwiches are perfect (real fresh!) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. So happy Buds on Jay exists, it’s exactly what downtown needed, quality and creative food choices and top notch coffee!

A happy place with wonderful vibes and incredibly friendly staff- I typically have allergy restrictions and had been fully attended to in regards to it! The food was great and their menu had an amazing selection of options. I used to stop by when it was formerly the Happy Cappucino- to which they told me they still serve the same coffee! I'll be more than happy to stop by again and let my friends know as well!

Great service, I ordered food through grubhub and the server called me to make sure everything was okay and was extremely understanding to my needs! Very thankful for her! Great place that offers gluten free and vegan options :) thank goodness! Loved my breakfast yay

Staff is always friendly. I appreciate that they open early enough for me to stop in before work to pick up a tasty breakfast. The grab and go egg sandwiches are always fresh, and tasty. Breakfast burrito also a winner. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
