Annabelle's Village Bake Shop

We ordered a cake from Annabelles, the cake was dry and the icing tasted old. the cake costed more then it should of. The flavor was disgusting and tasted like play dough. The cake was so dense it was hard to even cut . Last year we had a good experience this year, though it seems like the person who makes the cakes is different from the other person. The cake was also almost falling off the trey when they gave it to us we are definitely disappointed. Pastries there lately have been mediocre as well. Hoping maybe they hear this view and change some things I also found a egg shell on the floor in the eating area I even tried to apply here once and was upset by something a employee said to me witch was very rude .

Let me just say this about Annabelle's. Not only are the baked goods and ambience fabulous, Anne is one of a kind. In the midst of the chaos of Red Hook Chocolate Festival, she took time out to make cupcakes for my non-chocolate loving husband. She never hesitates to go the extra distance for her customers. Anne is what makes Red Hook one of the most compassionate, loving, and enlightened towns in the Hudson Valley.

My fiancée ordered a birthday cake and other pastries for my birthday. The macrons, scones, and lemon bars are AMAZING - some of the best I’ve ever had - but I was sadly disappointed by the cake. While it was adorable (green and pink frosting + sprinkles) the taste was off to say the leastI’m a huge buttercream fan and I could taste the food coloring and it ruined the experience for me.

I’ll definitely return, but I won’t be ordering another cake.

Friendly service and beautiful pastries. They dealt with a rude and fussy customer with grace. Sandwich came out quick and non-dairy milk was available.

Staff super friendly! You can smell the freshly baked items down the street...a must, if in town. Support this delicious local! Absolutely delightful!
