My wife, 1 year old, and I checked out this place on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm. The place was fairly busy and we got lucky and grabbed the last of 2 tables that were open in their beautifully decorated backyard setup. They have good heaters installed and on a good fall day, there was enough heat coming from the heaters to keep us comfortable.
All staff wears mask and gloves, and they also check your temperature prior to getting you seated.
We ordered the grilled corn ($8) which was quite delicious. The portion size could be slightly bigger, so wasn't too happy with that. Beer ($9) on tap was probably a dollar more expensive to my liking.
Service was excellent and quick. They have a beautiful bar area as well, just that due to COVID restrictions, one can't sit at the bar. Overall, we had an excellent experience and we'd definitely visit again.
One request to the owners: I hope you guys have a bottomless weekend brunch menu! That will be absolutely amazing and am sure will be very very popular as well!

I held a birthday celebration in the courtyard for 13 people from 5-7pm. I chose the place because we expected it to be family friendly. Several kids were running around playing with each other. Our waiter was very nice. It was a good vibe. But later a rude waitress came and told my friends that they would “need to control their kid” or leave. Their girl just ran around, but she didn’t knock anything over or make any noise. We had spent a lot of money in a short time, and were just asked to leave like that?

I really like this place and was hesitant to write a review because I selfishly want it to stay a hidden gem 😂 it looks small & quaint at first but has a really nice backyard. They have coffee (the oat Milk latte was really good), beers from various local breweries, and a good selection of cocktails. The food was great (we ordered a pork tamal, chorizo & egg burrito, and grain bowl) and reasonably priced for LIC. Good service, good food, good vibes...dare I say top quality 😎 We will definitely be back!

The ambiance of Top Quality is cozy and relaxing with artsy decorations and greens. There is currently both indoor and outdoor seats with heater available.
The options on the menu were limited but decent for a weekend brunch. We ordered Guacamole and Chips to share as a starter with 5 entrees and 1 salad. We had Steak Eggs Breakfast Burrito, Chorizo Egg Breakfast Burrito, Smoked Duck Carnitas, Grilled Haloumi Cheese and Carnitas.
We love the way they served taco and let customers assemble themselves. Our favorite was the Grilled Haloumi Cheese which was flavorful with soft texture. The sauce for the smoked duck carnitas was also good but the duck meat was a little chewy.
Their Coffee was from one of my favorite spots La Colombe and it would be one of the reasons for us to visit again. Overall, Top Quality is a solid place for brunch with friends.

First off. This place has a great location good vibes, good food, and great drinks Warning however: if you go here, do not get a large taco because if you do, you will fell very very ripped off. My stars are primarily because I feel that this place has taken advantage of it's customers...
The prices are very misleading. I should have taken a picture of the regular serving size for a taco plate but the pictures I have attached are supposedly for a large plate of 8 tacos with 16oz of meat for more than twice the price of a medium size plate. By the pictures alone, this is not equivalent to 16oz of meat and can no way fit 8 tacos...how is this 16oz of meat for 8 tacos? I feel as if getting a large only nets more tortillas and nothing else. Please fix this as I would love to love this place.
I would love to give this place another chance as it is a new restaurant but when we asked if this was the large, we were confusingly told yes.

Top Quality has been such a good addition to the neighborhood! They have indoor and outdoor seating (the latter being dog friendly), and the inside is beautifully decorated. We love it for both brunch and dinner. My favorite dishes are the chilaquiles (brunch) and the halloumi tacos (brunch or dinner). My husband loves the lamb barbacoa. The cocktails are also spot on. Highly recommend for a fun date night, happy hour, brunch, or any type of get together with a group of friends! No matter the occasion, you really can’t go wrong with this place.

I want to love this place. Loved the clean design, fun ambiance, friendly staff but the food was pretty mediocre. Went there when they just opened but the food was so dry and lacked flavors. (Pork & Duck Carnitas Tacos). Tamale was very dry. We tossed it after few bites.
I’m chalking it up to being new. Hope it will all improve in time because it is a great addition in this neighborhood. I will return to try again.
P.S Hand sanitizer has a really strong scent and I can’t seem to wash it off even w soap.

TQ Top Quality LIC was a real find just as NY restaurants are opening up again!
My daughter & I decided to have our early Easter dinner there on a stunning Spring day.
We were greeted by an engaging friendly staff.
We decided to dine in the back covered patio space. The menu is Mexican -inspired many of the meats maybe ALL smoked perfectly in the prominent smoker.
We enjoyed the barbacoa lamb and pork carnitas both with delicious soft corn tortillas. Accompanied by memorable salsas & toppings. We will go back for the grilled corn & potato mole appetizers. But not on a Monday they are closed.
It was truly exciting to see this eatery safe but busy during these Covid times.
My only issue was this online menu which requires a charged phone. For me much of the fun is savoring the actual paper menu ✅

Solid no frills fancy taco place. Strong on flavors, quality, and good vibes. A bit lighter on the portions.
I ordered a virgin pina colada (and wow!) did they fill it up with little ice cubes. The barbacoa taco made up for it though with grilled corn esquites. It felt a bit cumbersome to make my own taco...but after awhile I enjoyed the process and was able to alter different portions of each ingredient to my liking.
As a whole, recommend. With John Brown Smokehouse relocating, this restaurant will probably be the key draw for the surrounding area along with ICONYC Brewery

Truly Top Quality. The service was amazing, and somehow the food was even better. I went for brunch and had a delicious carne asada breakfast burrito, as well as some sweet potato pancakes. The space is so cute and they have a great patio that I will definitely be back to check out in the spring.
