Toast Coffee + Kitchen

Less than great customer service, They put together a vegan order and carelessly added milk to coffees, and didn’t even care what kind of milk they were putting into the coffee. They clearly don’t understand the definition of vegan.The food itself was OK, but they still didn’t know what kind of milk they put in the coffees.

The food here is amazing and 5 stars all the way. The service here is one star at best. As long as you don’t mind waiting around a while and have golden patience then all good. If you want efficiency this is not the place. Been going here since they opened their first location and over the years I think the service part has just gone downhill big time. Giving credit where it’s due the food here is really exceptional.

I was really disappointed because I've eaten here before and the food is delicious. However, we went on a Sunday to grab brunch. They said they would text us 20-25 min minutes later to seat us. We walked back in after about 30 min, asked for the wait time and they said another 25 min. Waited another 30 min, went back inside asked the wait time, they say ANOTHER 30 min. Keep in mind the original wait time was 25 min. An hour and a half later and we still haven't been called to be seated. I understand that it's a Sunday at breakfast time, but if they had told us up front that it would be over an hour wait, I happily would have gone somewhere else. Such a huge waste of time...

Would love to eat here but the prices are over the top greedy. The chicken sandwich is 7.00 more than when they were in Port Jeff. Unfortunately I will not be supporting this restaurant.

The gluten free options here are always great and the staff is knowledgeable

We had our wedding here, what a marvelous, easy-going spot! Tiffany helped us put together the best night of our lives! The food was AMAZING! Every one of our guests talked about it being one of the best weddings they’ve been to! Thank you so much Tiffany, Missy, Aysen, Braedan, Cassandra, Dillon, Natalie, Maddy, and David as well as all the kitchen staff for such a great night! It’s so great to have had our first date location, our favorite breakfast spot and our wedding right here!

I previously reviewed this place as a 4 star since the food was great but the climate control was not in use when it was 85+ degrees outside (we were sweating).
Now I've lowered it to 1 star because the hostess was EXTREMELY RUDE and the climate control still wasn't up to par! (very cold and drafty--its december at the time of this review).
The hostess gave us an attitude when we made a reservation for 4 people but we infact had 6 (last minute grandparents came). She told us that we might not be able to sit together.....even though i said we would be happy to wait, no big deal but it was to her.
We ended up getting a table and enjoying our food. Then when we finished and were enjoying our coffees, the same rude hostess told us we had to leave because she wanted to clean the table for the next people (mind you we were only there for about an hour, definitely not over staying our welcome, and our bill was over $100 plus a 20% tip we gave AND it was a Tuesday)
Very bad experience. Next time we will go to the local diner down the road and we won't be rushed and will be treated with hospitality.

Love this place and their food and have never had a problem, but I brought my boyfriend to show him and I was so excited. I never leave reviews but after waiting a long time, our waitress comes and doesn’t introduce herself (we later found out her name is Chanel, from the receipt) but just takes our order in 2 seconds in an unfriendly manner and then leaves. She never comes back, she’s just working on take out slowly and sits on her phone. She didn’t bring us food or check on us or anything at all, I give props to the water guy and other workers though who were way more qualified than her. I could have done a better job myself and I know nothing about working in this particular restaurant. But I do have restaurant working experience and I know for a fact that this is one of the worst service experiences I have ever witnessed.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the new location. Staff were all friendly and gracious. Place is uniquely decorated, clean and enjoyable.

We absolutely loved Toast Coffeehouse!! The food portion sizes are extremely generous. Honesty, the pancakes are so large and delicious they could feed to people. But, definitely don't that....order two different meals and share the yumminess. Our waiter is a local college student and was very helpful discussing the area when we said we were visiting area colleges. Over all great food, great eclectic atmosphere, great service 👍 when we are back in the area...we will return. be
