Stumbled upon this local treasure this morning while taking the pup for a walk. Hopping into the area only for long weekends on the boat, this conveyance of liquid gold has apparently escaped my detection for some time - I’ll be speaking to my so-called friends concerning this lack of knowledge sharing. I had long since given up on a good cup of Joe in Plattsburgh (with exception to the poorly located, but respectable java, ADK Coffee Roasters). High Peaks Brew executed what seems to baffle some other coffee shops in town - great drink, rapid service, and a smile. Doesn’t hurt that they are completely dog friendly.
Pro Tip: Grab a drink and go for a walk… waking up your mind and body.
What could make it better? This is a lake city… a water view of course. Sadly, most customers these days would look at any detour as an inconvenience, regardless of the stunning views. Possibly score a spot at the PBG City Marina weekend mornings? A lot of folks show up there with coffee from somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunrise.

Amazing coffee, lattes, and baked goods. The service is wonderful there. Next time you are there, try a salted Carmel, extra salted Carmel with whipped cream on top. It’s a Brad Phillips special.
