The food here is sooooo amazing. Everything tastes great!! Even my picky 6 yr old chowed down his chicken tenders. Usually he takes 2 or 3 bites of anything and says he's done. He cleared his plate!! I had the onion rings and a chef salad. Last time I had a burger (don't remember which one). Literally the best food of this kind of any restaurant in town.

It isn't often I write a public review, but I have NEVER had such a terrible dining experience. I sat there for two hours watching people come and go before I finally got my food. When I did, the burger came cold. At least the fries were hot...when they came ten minutes later. I had to ask at least three times before getting a single refill on water. When the bill came the $10 burger somehow got upcharged to $12. On the upside, I never have to go back. Avoid at all costs, if I could leave a half star review, it would be generous.

I recently tried the fish and chips from here. Absolutely amazing, huge portions and excellent fish. Treated my coworker today for lunch because he is a huge fish and chips fan. He was very impressed. In the last 4 days I have ordered this three times because it was so good.

Coming to the place is a great experience. The staff is always so nice, friendly and very attentive to their customers. If you want a great dining experience and awesome homemade food. I absolutely recommend coming in.

Excellent food and atmosphere! We always feel welcome and enjoy the experience. Wings, salad, burgers, and quesadillas are our favorites! If you're in Ogdensburg, The Place is a must for your lunch or dinner choice.

Not great. Fries hard and mostly raw. Screwed up order no bacon or onion on my burger like I ordered. Bruschetta bread seemed like it was microwaved - hard on the edges mushy in center. No indication that bread was toasted or grilled. Cold pesto turkey melt. Pasta salad was bland/no flavor and noodles were mushy. They delivers on time , so that was good and whoever answered the phone was nice but the food was not on point tonight. Not sure if it was a fluke but tonights dinner left everyone wishing they had something else to eat. I used to remember it was better than what we had tonight. I dont normally leave reviews but this is an exception. Maybe its cuz of covid. I dunno. Maybe we will try again next year and see if its better like we remember.

We love this bar and grill! I don't get to Ogdensburg very often but try to get to The Place when I do. Good food, friendly people, great atmosphere!

The Place is one of Ogdensburg's most historic taverns. When you arrive, before you enter, take a good look at the sign up above the entrance. You'll see two roosters, their claws extended, ready to fight. Why? The Place once hosted illegal cockfights. The late Jimmy Mills bragged that during Prohibition, owner George Wahl told him that the federal agents used to drink at The Place and they would tip the owner off before they would conduct their raids. Today, the Place offers an Irish atmosphere with great food, great drinks and a friendly neighborhood vibe. Whether it's lunch or dinner, The Place is an Ogdensburg establishment worth visiting.

I had the Bourbon Bleu hamburger with homemade fries. It was so juicy with their homemade bourbon sauce that two napkins were needed. The wait was a bit long but the bar was very busy and diners were steadily arriving. Great experience.
