Friendly staff and nobody beats John in the “customer service” department. Pet friendly, lots of good characters to chat with, a true neighborhood place. I’d always rather spend my money at the local shops who know how it’s supposed to be done. Obviously the coffee is great too, since it’s all freshly roasted on location. Can’t ask for more!

Simply the best coffee in town. Or anywhere in the area, for that matter. And the best staff, as well. John is a maestro of coffee and customer service. Whether I’m making coffee at home from beans bought Sunshine, or going to shop in person, it’s consistently perfect, and a ritual I cherish daily.

They were out of the croissant type that my husband wanted. And the one she got was not warm like we expected. Our drinks and coffee was great though. Good service.

This might be because I went in at 3pm on a Thursday, but the place was kinda dead, the lady behind the counter was nice but when I asked for a whole bean menu, she just started looking at bins and yelling out names. There was no information on the beans in print and it didn’t seem like she wanted to talk about them.

This might be nit picky, but when weighing out a pound of whole beans, she didn’t tare the bag. Sure the bag is only grams, but if I’m taking the time at home to weight out beans every day, I would like the coffee shop to take the same care.

It’s a nice little in town coffee shop across the street from a sbucks, but that’s all it really is. If you’re looking for a third wave coffee shop, I don’t think you’ll find it here. I’m sure the in house brew is fine, but don’t go thinking you’re finding your regular roaster.

Got a 1lb bag of coffee. The place is really nice and quiet. They also sell artwork, which is pleasant to look at while waiting for a coffee/drink. I'd check it out again sometime soon.

Had coffee and a muffin, friendly service, coffee was great, my wife had a cappuccino and said it was great, sat outside on a beautiful Saturday morning. It was a nice relaxing morning.

Great place for coffee. They always have three different brews available - mild, medium and strong. Plus all the beans are roasted on location so the coffee is super fresh.

The freshness and variety is truly something else, the menu I saw last week had at least 12 varietals on it, all roasted in quantities that ensure the freshness is always on top. It’s really crazy - like mad hatter crazy - why so many beans? It must be a labor of love. You can get a 1/4 of Indonesian, 1/2 lb of Brazil, another scoop of Colombian. I mostly use pour over method with 1:17g ratio... the bloom on these beans is really crazy. Pour in 35-50g and you’ll see this crazy reaction, it basically doubles. It’s the bloom you want in a pour over. I hate spending premium on a brand (gimme, intelligentsia, Irving, stumptown, ritual, tandem, EQ, etc etc) - I love them all - but when they come in a package of 12 oz that cost $18-22 only to find that it’s just this side of fresh is so frustrating. Sunshine takes all that fuss out of the equation — great beans roasted to exacting profiles.

Small little coffee shop with character. Great coffee, friendly, wifi, great place to enjoy a cappuccino and get some work done. Side-walk seating when it's nice. Highly recommend.
