Mama Said Hand Pies Cafe - Ulysses

Five of us went to Mama Said for lunch and we were Not disappointed. We shared Oaxaca, the potato cheese, the mushroom, and the spinach feta hand pies, and a delicious bean soup. No way to pick a favorite. They were all excellent. We will be back to try more kinds (including there dessert pies, which we forgot to save room for.). Obviously, these hand pies would be great for take out, but the place is comfortable and kid friendly. We happily ate in.

The food is incredibly delicious. Local ingredients and variety. Excellent place for a quick lunch or to just come for coffee and work on your laptop. Their outdoor backyard space is amazing plus Free WiFi available.

Passed this place, made a u turn, and so glad we did! Their savory and sweet offerings we fantastic! And the gal at the front provided excellent information on menu items, with a smile. We will be back!!

These hand pies were so amazing, if you are in the area these are a must try. The shop owners are very kind and enjoyable people. The overall experience was fantastic.
Also it's primarily a pie shop but that doesn't mean the coffee was expertly prepared!
Would go again!

Everything we ate here was so delicious. I recommend coming with friends or family so you can try a little bit of everything. My favorites were the beef hand pie, the potato and cheese hand pie, and the cherry turnover. The chicken/mushroom cabbage roll (a daily special) was so tasty as well. Space is very well laid out with a fireplace and cozy chairs. Gabe and his staff make you feel welcome!

Love this place, the food, the atmosphere, the pies, stews, coffee, all so good! They stock my guilty pleasure, chocolate milk!
