A fantastic little restaurant. The small kitchen puts out some amazing food. The poached eggs were perfect. The espresso was wonderful and had some nice dark chocolate flavors. The Belgian hot chocolate was the best I have had. Extremely dog friendly.

Had an amazing time here! Enjoyed the eggs Edinburgh for myself and shared the sweet toast éclair with friends. Food tastes like it it made with high quality ingredients. Sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather with my dog. Highly recommend coming here and making reservations in advance. Owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, servers are great too.

Within a matter of minutes, Allechant became our favorite restaurant in Ithaca. We were greeted by the owner, Reeve, who went out of his way to find us a table despite our lack of reservation. This was followed by a 20-minute get-to-know-you "interview" which was really delightful. The menu, comprised of about 10 gourmet dishes were so enticing, we could not decide what to order. I got the Eggs Edinborough (which is a salmon variation on Eggs Benedict), my daughter got the Lemon Souffle Pancakes. Both "Food Channel" quality dishes: unique, fresh, seasoned to perfection, beautifully plated, and delicious! The waitstaff was also remarkably friendly and helpful. We look forward to becoming regular customers, which will give us the opportunity to enjoy the other menu items.

We were excited to have our brunch here because we heard the food is good. We made a reservation ahead of time but the server was being arrogant and asked us “have we worked in a restaurant before?”. He didn’t apologized for the delay and we told him that we understand because we lived in the city before. He just scorned and said “I don’t think you do.” I don’t understand why a server could be so disrespectful for the customer and being judgmental because I do live in the city. We also seated in the table for a long time and no one came to ask us what we want. The WORST restaurant in Ithaca lol.

By far, the best restaurant in Ithaca. I got the steak dish and my husband had the pork tenderloin. Excellent. From our first bite of the buratta appetizer special, I told my husband, “Oh, this is the best meal we’ve had in Ithaca.” I love to cook and every layer of each dish was well seasoned. The atmosphere is so calm. The server was attentive, but not invasive. Really struck the perfect balance.

I rarely write reviews, but this evening I feel compelled to.

We stumbled upon this place by pure chance after meeting a friend for a hike.
We are so very glad we did! Incredible flavors and beautiful presentations.
Friendly, attentive service and fun trivia about the food and local history. I live a solid hour away and I will be back very soon! Keep up the fantastic work!

What an amazing place. The ambiance was beautiful. The food was amazing. But the hospitality is what topped everything off. We were offered blankets if we got cold, they brought out a light when the sun started to set... Would highly recommend.

Alléchant is my new favorite spot. Brunch was delicious and perfectly executed!

We were seated outside in the courtyard, appropriately distanced. The staff were friendly, and professional. They were masked and the tables were sanitized as soon as guests left the area.

Good lunch spot. I wish they could serve breakfast all day and maybe have a few more vegetarian options maybe with tofu. I will go back one day because the desserts were delicious!

Super potential, but not yet super impressed. The good: the egg salad sandwich was very tasty, as well as the caramel cheesecake and macchiato. The atmosphere was pretty chill and relaxed and the servers were friendly. The bad:. The sandwich was tiny, as well as the salad (the picture shows half of the sandwich). The bread with the sandwich was sourdough, which I thought would be artisan type bread, but looked like it was simply purchased at a grocery store. That tiny sandwich took 30 minutes to make, and it didn't seem like it was super busy. I had to return my silverware as they were very dirty. Cool place, but don't expect to leave full. I was going to have the soup but they were sold out. Oh, cash and checks only.

To the owner, thanks for the response and owning the silverware mistake. Owning of mistakes means you care and are willing to change, upping a star for that. :)
