As fans of Southdown Coffee, we highly recommend to visit their location in Glen Cove since the decor and ambiance is the best among all branches in our opinions.
It's cozy and relaxing with artsy furniture and plenty of greens. The roaster is located in the middle of the building and they blend their beans freshly everyday.
We got 3 cups of Latte and a cinnamon roll from their limited pastry selection since we were there in the afternoon. The latte was great & refreshing as usual and the cinnamon roll was satisfying & delicate.

Delicious coffee. Friendly staff. Cozy space. And they have great taste in music 😊

Very high quality coffees. Great staff and service. Excellent selection of single origin coffee beans - currently enjoying their mild/medium roast Ethiopian. Convenient location and easy parking. Probably the best coffee shop and roasters on Long Island.

Great coffee, amazing baked goods in a really cool space. Nice to sit outside on sunny days. The staff is always friendly and on point. I'm there several times a week.

I got coffee here a bunch of times, food as well, today I sat down. Doing some work, and I see a shadow in the distance. The photo speaks for itself. I was forced out into the cold as they closed. I am panicked and speechless. After I shared this on Instagram they *blocked* me, extremely disgusting behavior and the response below is a sad excuse.

Had a really lovely juniper latte in trying this place for the first time. Atmosphere was also really cool and it looks like there’s an art installation next door.

From someone who enjoys visiting and supporting local coffee places versus the franchise places, this place didn’t really meet the hype and overall rating found on Google.
If you want that minimal yet barn/cottage like aesthetic, this is a place for you. Want a small scratch kitchen menu and slightly over priced caffeinated water and milk? This is the place for you.
But do not go here if you are looking for baristas with personality who are warm and welcoming. Do not go here if you want a fun yet cozy environment. And definitely do not think you can get anything that is sugar free friendly. It’s 2023. One would think that a place who charges the prices they do can afford to stock at least one liquid syrup that is sugar free. I would not come back here and I would not recommend. I’ll stick with buying coffee beans from somewhere else that I’ll grind and turn into some delicious bean water.

Very cute cafe with few vegan options. We enjoyed eating outside chickpea sandwiches with coffee.

Love everything about Southdown and make it my go-to spot when I want a great healthy lunch, like a chickpea sandwich or avocado toast, to name a few. However, yesterday, I was disappointed to see that the guy who was preparing my food had long hair, which was not tied back, and also, he was not wearing a hat or hair net. Hope this review will serve as a reminder to make certain that employees are trained and adhering to food safety standards.
