We stopped in on our way back to Pittsburgh. They had a lot of cute local items. We picked up some local honey and maple syrup. Had lunch as well. Sandwiches were perfect- really good size for the price. Cookies were crispy yet chewey- excellent! We were there in time to test taste their version of fried pickle- highly recommend. Did not love the french toast flavored coffee but we aren't big flavored coffee drinkers normally. We were there at an off time (meaning people came in for pickup orders but we were the only ones sitting) so we wound up striking up a conversation with the manager and the cook. Really great guys, very conscientious and interested in hearing feedback. Sent us off with some bacon for the pups and cat we travel with. Highly recommend stopping by.

The food, and service is outstanding!! The Cuban sandwich i had was made with love, my wife had the pulled chicken nachos, she said it was the best she ever had. Service is fast and friendly. The prices are quite reasonable, as well. Definitely worth a trip to visit. Best food I had in a while!

Awesome place. I can honestly say I've never eaten in a hardware store before and I love it. Great BBQ, absolutely wonderful people. We were passing through on our road trip, hungry and couldn't find anywhere open. They served us with cheerful smiles and stories even though we came in about fifteen minutes before closing. I know the town is called Friendship but they really mean it. If we ever find ourselves in this city again, we will definitely come back.

Horrible little town. Very poorly named. Not friendly at all. Was traveling to Ohio from New York and thought this would be a nice place to get a bite to eat it was like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Nobody was friendly in Friendship New York

Who knew you could find great cubanos in central New York? The mac and cheese and chili were also amazing. Generous portions, very quick service, fantastic food! Definitely worth the few minutes trip off the interstate!

Geo was the best! She was so sweet and has the most welcoming personality, plus she makes the BEST milkshakes around!! If you decide to come through make sure to stop by and ask for Geo!

What a Great little place. Good BBQ The owner is very friendly and funny. We needed plumbing fixtures and it was lunch time, this was just the place to go. I would stop here just to eat when driving through town or make it a lunch spot if you are local.

Great place to eat! Lol... really. Nice selection of hardware and I think they do window/screen repair too. But the best part is the unbelievably delicious BBQ they offer. My favorite is the "Cuban" sandwich....I don't recall what all is in it but I think it is the best sandwich I've ever had! If that all isn't enough, treat yourself to some "real" old fashioned service. A visit to the Friendship Hardware is one of those things that can turn your day around!

Masked as a hardware store (and it truly is functional as one), Friendship Hardware draws us back here time and again because of its barbeque, with the home made sauces, the daily smoked meats, and the good friendly company of the family who owns and runs the business. Best barbeque I have ever eaten is found in a hardware store in a small rural place in western New York. If you are ever driving through the area or live nearby but have yet to experience it, trust me, you are missing out on some good eating. They have a Facebook page as well that is updated often especially for news announcements or early closures, so be sure to check it out! There is a reason why everyone who is familiar with them want them to cater for every big event and party, so consider that too!

The owner is a great cook so he converted half of the hardware store to now a BBQ shop
The best BBQ in Allegany county hands down. The meat is smoked right there. Everything is home made: potato salad, macaroni salad, mac&cheese. We eat here at lease couple days a week and we were never disappointed. The owners are really nice and the place becoming very popular with locals. There are only 5min from exit 29 on I86. Follow signs for downtown friendship and look for the hardware store on Main Street and the BBQ Sign. They are inside. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7:00pm. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed
