Forestburgh General Store

Always one of my favorite places to stop in and get an amazing sandwich! Gluten free bread makes it all worth it! Family owned and operated, this store has some really cute gifts and is set up for the holidays!

Everything about this store is perfect. It looks wonderful, great coffee, everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful, great local baked goods and organize fruits and vegetables, and Debbie will find and deliver to you any organic food you could possibly want. On top of that, it's full of creative things you'd like to buy -- from stuffed animals to dresses.

We love this place. We were coming here to work on a bungalow and would stop by every morning for an egg and cheese and coffee. We then started coming in for lunch too. In the recent days we would order a turkey sandwich instead in the morning and get two coffees and two cookies. The cookies are so fresh, chocolate-chipy, and delicious! I’ve saved one and had it three days later 😸still delicious!
The place is full of everything! The front of the store is used for orders/food and register and the back of the store have everything else you’ll need. There were dvds, books, candles, lego, new and used items and even some very pricey but beautiful blankets. This place is great for Airbnb customers and locals. Truly has a little bit of everything for everyone. If anything, grab some coffee and walk around the store. Every time you come you’ll see something your eyes didn’t see before.

The Forestburgh General Store is the treasure of Forestburgh. The store features a completely redesigned interior and exterior facade. It offers basic convinces such as drinks, eggs, milk, etc. They also have a full deli that serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches, a farmers market with locally grown fruits and vegetables, unique locally produced crafts, and even a full coffee bar. Free WiFi is also available. The owners are friendly and welcoming and make you want to sit down on one of the stores chairs or couches and stay a while. I love this new store!! As a resident of Forestburgh, it makes me proud to live here.
