My favorite coffee shop has lost its personality. This was my home base before Salt City took over. The staff in previous ownership was top notch and the personal touch was always present. Now, I am greeted with a cold “hello”, slow service, and nothing on my way out. Coffee is good, food is great, but the best cafes are built in personality and community.

This was nice clean little Cafe. I met a friend for coffee here. I got the cappuccino, and my friend got a hot chocolate. He asked the staff what doesn't taste like coffee because he hates coffee. We met here on his suggestion. Weirdo. I suppose he was actually just being thoughtful suggesting it because he knew I liked coffee. I just like calling him a weirdo.
It was simple and clean and the staff was really nice. Unfortunately the contraption they use to toast the marshmallows on the got chocolate was not working so my friend had to eat raw marshmallows. Haha...
Nice place. Reasonable pricing and good coffee and espresso.

I want to give this place 5 stars, but it just isn’t what it used to be. When it was Soleil, the owners and staff were extremely friendly and personable, now I barely get a smile. I love Salt City coffee, so I will probably go to their location on Salina St next time for better service. The food is the same as when it was Soleil and still good, so that’s a plus I suppose!

Best coffee around, by far! Try the maple vanilla latte. They use REAL NY State maple syrup and organic products when possible. They also have nice, fresh bagels.

It is a shame how downhill this coffee shop went once it changed to salt city coffee. Soleil cafe was a staple of Fayetteville, NY and this place is mediocre at best. You can tell the staff doesn't want to be there, the atmosphere went from vibrant to dull, and the quality of the drinks evaporated along with its soul. I used to give salt city a try each time I was visiting home, but there is a not a glimmer of hope in there. The mom and pop aspect of "salt city coffee" went out the door - you might as well get a drink from a Starbucks. BRING BACK SOLEIL CAFE

I used to have a 5 star review for when this was Soleil. Since the change in ownership, the coffee is still good, although not as good as it used to be and the place is missing the heart and atmosphere that Taylor and her awesome Staff so expertly established.

Great coffee show. They use Peaks coffee for their brews and other coffee drinks and do a good job making the coffee. They also have teas and other non coffee drinks. If you want some breakfast stop in and have some waffles! Staff is friendly come here for a quiet afternoon coffee or breakfast.

Really good coffee and food. I wish they stayed open just an hour later. Majority of staff is friendly but there are a few who seem annoyed by customers often.

Great space for work or catching up with friends, the hospitality is second to none in Syracuse, and the coffee is greatly crafted with expertise and care. Taylor and Shem have put there all into creating a great space. Best Shop in Syracuse.

I agree with some of the other posts about change in ownership. This location used to be Soleil and was taken over by Salt City and the atmosphere has really changed- not enough personality and lackluster service (Although there are other locations with really good service) Good coffee of course.
