We're sympathetic to the fact that, post COVID, businesses are eager to welcome all people, but when I went by this morning, an employee I'd never noticed before wasn't masked, which makes me really nervous. My spouse is immune-compromised, so if I carry *anything* back, she may become deathly ill. I loved getting a latte from Poetica as a treat for a difficult morning, but I won't be returning until I feel safe.

Nothing can make you miss the old place, Parade, like this coffee shop. The coffee was fine, but the friendly service we had enjoyed has been replaced, in my opinion, with just another snarky hipster Brooklyn cafe.
The pumpkin sign they had out front said it all. They don’t really care what the customers liked or were used to. Haven’t been back since and don’t really intend to.

Stopped in early on a Sunday morning for an iced americano and a herby egg and scallion pierogi. Coffee was excellent, the pierogi could have been a bit warmer, but the flavor was great. Poetica has created a great outdoor eating area, shaded, nice plants, and it was clean. Even a bit of sculpture!
I’m pet sitting in the area and checking coffee places. This is one of the best I’ve found!

Nice selection of pastries, muffins, quiches, desserts, and baked pierogi (stuffed rolls, not dumplings, Russian?), so you can get a full breakfast or light meal in addition to the usual espresso bar drinks.

A cozy neighborhood coffee shop with a terrace and fast Wifi which is important for me! They use their blend of beans which are locally roasted not to mention their top quality matcha along with their delicious croissants that are perfectly soft for baby teeth to munch on 🥐

Asked for two iced americano, saw white haired employee was making a hot americano. I stated we asked for iced americano.
He got very confrontational and upset.
Maybe he was focused more on what he was doing on his laptop to focus on the order.

We were old fans of their Smith street location , and were pleasantly surprised they opened up a new location near Prospect Park that me and my husband love. I’m fan of these guys. My favorite is Arnold Palmer and of course pierogies.

Wow I really wanted to love this place… The ice latte is so good, but the blonde guy on the counter was so rude! Like he didn’t even hide it, he slammed everything and would roll his eyes. I came here for the first time on a Sunday and it’s so sad Because I wanted to come back here again… this place needs better customer service!

Was a big fan of Parade before Poetica took over, and I was quite surprised by the sudden change but wanted to give it a chance anyway. I was incredibly disappointed with the coffee which seems to be their own roast. I was even more disappointed that they kept Parade's sandwich menu but without all the bread options. The final straw is this sign they keep outside. This is a very negative way to say "hello" to the neighborhood considering that Parade sold pumpkin flavored drinks. It's like saying to anyone who enjoyed that "We don't want your money, ever".
I love to support local businesses, but this place after 2 tries has rubbed me the wrong way. On the other hand, I've reacquainted myself with my own espresso machine, so....thanks?

An education in what coffee shops should be.
Excellent and strong coffee available at the hour you need it. Great small foods and drinks although the could be a bit faster. Ok, I may have a severe coffee addiction.
