They give decaf iced tea without asking if that's what you want...and it's $5; more than most places in Manhattan.

Response to owner: yes, I'm sure. It was Roiboos tea, which is naturally decaffeinated. Someone ordering coffee would expect to be told if their beverage lacked caffeine--the same goes for a tea orderer.

I have been missing the sense of community that coffee shops offered before the pandemic, but I discovered this spot today, and I think I'm obsessed. The owner is the absolute nicest guy, so friendly and welcoming, and my latte was *perfect.* Made me feel like I was part of a real community again. I'd been hesitant just because the space is so small, but there are seats to wait outside, and everyone was super respectful of social distancing. Want to support an independent Black-owned business that only just opened in January? This is the place!

Love this cute little shop, and the staff are amazing!! Confession: I don't drink coffee :( However, my partner LOVES their coffee, and he is very particular about his coffee too. They do have tea though, and a couple of other non-coffee items for the rest of us non-coffee drinking weirdos. They have some good pastries too :) This place is a lovely little light in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!!

This place clearly stands out.

I don't know of any other shop in NYC that is so pour-over forward. Most Third-wave shops don't offer pour over or just have an automatic pour-over machine. This shop offers many excellent beans from different roasters to be hand poured.

I stopped by for the first time today and Nigel brewed me a perfect cup. Moreover, he was happy to walk me through all the options and discuss coffee brewing in general.

Super pleasant experience in a beautiful space. Feel lucky that this shop is local, but I wouldn't even mind making it a destination 😀

Great to see this place growing. High quality, espresso, drip coffee, and beans.

I remember living in Crown Heights and the shop owner had a little stand with a couple drip coffee makers and a small espresso machine.

The coffee amazing then and still amazing now! It’s awesome to see him w/ his own shop, def one the the best, genuine coffee shops in Brooklyn.

In town from LA to visit our daughter in Bushwick and we found this gem of a coffee spot. Nigel has a keen eye on details. His shop will please you since it’s impeccably clean and comfortable especially since we just arrived from a red eye flight. Be sure to also grab a bag of coffee beans when you’re there. He’s got an international array of beans to behold!

I am lucky enough to have moved around the block from Drip!
While walking my dog I stumbled across this spot and I was so amazed by the variety of coffee and the kind baristas.
As a barista myself, I usually just make my coffee at home but I could not resist myself from trying out this spot. I now no longer make my coffee at home and look forward to coming here almost every day. Also the gluten-free vegan pastries that y’all have are so fresh and delicious; definitely a must grab!

Ps - the croissants are bangin too!
Perfect flakiness and softness 🖤

After weeks of lockdown, my homemade coffee just wasn't cutting it anymore. I donned my mask and made the journey to Drip, a new neighborhood coffee spot I had noticed from the subway but had yet to try due to Covid. I ordered their cold brew and returned home. It was fantastic. Delicious. Arguably one of the best I've ever had. However, it had been more than two months since my last cold brew from any coffee spot and perhaps I was just getting ahead of myself. Perhaps this impression was warped by my own coffee making skills at home (or lack thereof). I needed to try it again. I returned a few days later and ordered their latte. Different drink, same results. Delicious. During these times it can be hard to distinguish between weekdays and the weekend. My weekend morning routines now begin with a quick trip to Drip, and it is safe to say I now long for the weekend to come around like I once did.

Finally a cup of coffee in this neighborhood that you can enjoy! I've worked on the same block as Drip for 10 years and have been suffering through bodega coffee the entire time. This is the best addition this neighborhood could receive. Coffee is excellent and so is Nigel.

The owner and staff are very friendly. They have a wide range of coffee and other products to buy. Their coffee is great and it makes a great addition to the neighborhood, especially if you want to learn more about coffee.

However, they are pretty expensive. For example, a 12oz mocha is $6.97 ($6.40 without tax). Even for the city, that is pretty expensive especially when you have 2 other coffee shops within a 5-10 minute walk each with a regular mocha being priced at $5.25 and $5.75 (even with COVID). Again fabulous place, just a bit pricey, COVID or otherwise.
