Big Mouth Coffee Roasters

Stopped by here for some midday energy, after a 4 hour hike. Ordered the iced oat milk latte and an iced citrus green tea. The iced oat milk latte was good, and the green tea was refreshing.

The interior was pretty big, with a section full of coffee beans. It was rather lively there with people sitting inside, chatting and on their laptops. They also have outdoor seating, which is very convenient.

Note: staff was very friendly and they accept card. Prices of drinks were average $3-$5.

Highest quality coffee roaster in town - other cafes in the area even have their beans! This is a great place to work. The music is always great, but can get a bit loud when there is a long line and a lot of people inside. If the couch is open, don't wait because it's the best seat in the place!

Excellent high quality coffee and wonderful staff. Ordered a iced honey latte and was a very refreshing treat after an afternoon hike nearby. Will come again when I'm in the area!

Delicious variety of house-roasted single origin espressos and pour overs. Great space to work. Staff know all regulars by name and are customer obsessed. For example, when they discontinued coconut milk, they surveyed customers to pick a replacement. Perfect coffee shop!

Best coffee in the Hudson Valley.

Ever since they opened a few years back I've been going to Big Mouth almost exclusively for coffee. I've spent countless hours hanging out with local friends and chatting with the incredible baristas they've had over the years. Alex the owner is an awesome dude who often relies on the opinions of locals and friends in making decisions about the business which is refreshing to see. You can tell there is as much attention to the branding as there is the roasting. I love the atmosphere and how they feature local artists, rotating the gallery every few weeks. They have really found their identity on Main Street and off with their occasional collaborations like the coffee beers with Newburgh and Hudson Valley Brewery. I always keep a bag of their signature house blend at home but I especially enjoy the Nicaragua pour over. Working as a concierge at a boutique Inn in town, I always recommend Big Mouth to coffee person.

I recommend this place takes pour over coffee off the menu because as a customer ordering it, I felt pretty unimportant. They completely deprioritize the order. They said it would be a few minutes, which I typically expect ordering a pour over, but what she should have said was "Oh, we're going to serve the next 25 people first then we'll start your order.". If that would have been the case, I'd have left.
I make pour over everyday at home. Takes 2-3 minutes. They prepared orders for anyone who ordered something espresso related before starting the order, all people who came in well after me.

Great coffee, but should rethink how they serve or if they should serve pour over because it dooms the customer to feel like they don't mean anything just because their order will take longer, therefore will be done last.

Always welcoming with great coffee, some terrific muffins , cookies, biscottis, etc.
