so, we were glad to see a bakery and didn't realize there were a few in town. the cinnamon roll was very very nice. cooked all the way they and a pleasant amount of cinnamon. we all enjoyed the light hand with the icing. the cupcakes were only so so. i would not buy them again.,some of us did not like the icing and not crazy about the cake. the flavored , dipped pretzels were enjoy by all family members. we gad gotten 2 flavors. the kids liked them too. the macaroons received mixed reviews.

We ordered that they make our cake for our 11th anniversary gave details of our life to put on the cake and to do the top layer and bottom layer the flavors that are wedding cake was. They did an amazing job got every element on the cake it was beautiful and the flavors of the cakes were amazing! This is the best bakery I've ever been to.

WOW! The cherry cupcake and the strawberry cupcakes were top notch! Also had the Carmel Macchiato and it was quite tasty. Great atmosphere.

I have a gluten allergy and got the most amazing cinnamon roll I have ever had. You have to pre-order them but trust me it's worth the wait. The next time I'm in the area I will be returning to get another one. The staff was friendly and more than understood the procedures for making a gluten-free treat!

Went late Saturday so wasn’t many options but had the spice cupcake and an americano. Delicious!!! Cupcake was cold (obviously) but went well with the hot americano! Give it a try !

Eight the Cake is a hidden Gem amongst the clouds in Cloudcroft, NM... This is a great way to express my feelings for this little Bakery/Art gallery! Simply amazing! The attention to details are unbelievable.

The flavor profiles of each of these handmade "treats" are some of the most pleasing I have tasted to my palate. The complexity of each handmade treat the team of family members are creating, are little slices of heaven at Eight the Cake in Cloudcroft, NM. The ambiance is fantastic, the space is surrounded by art pieces and sculptures from local artist in New Mexico to look at and/or purchase and enjoy at home (see photos).

Eight the Cake has many delicious treats to choose from on their menu, including artisan coffee and smoothies to wash them down. Just an overall delightful place to sit and enjoy! A nice way to treat yourself and your family or friends.

Finally I wrap this review up with, "the customer service." It is simply first class and the team at Eight the Cake are a joy to meet. I highly recommend visiting Eight the Cake while in the Village of Cloudcroft enjoying a break from the heat! Plus while you fill your stomach, you can pick up something to fill those artistic needs as well. "Bon Appétit!"

This place is awesome. My daughter loved the cupcakes we got! The pretzel sticks are super fun too.

The cupcakes were delicious and I had a London Fog that was also excellent.

Went by, had no cake and the only cupcakes they did have were an order for someone else to pick up. They said the person who makes the cupcakes isn’t there. No cupcakes, no cake, ONE cinnamon roll and that was it. Absolutely nothing else. Why even open if you don’t have anything? Heard this place was awesome and was excited to try it but was really let down to see there was nothing available.

Edit since owner replied: I understand emergencies/family emergencies and how they affect businesses, but you must communicate that. There was no mention of emergency or anything—just turned down and told that the bakers aren’t there. Imagine how that sounds if you were a customer walking into a business. Not good. If anybody had spoken besides telling us there’s no food and no bakers, and maybe been a bit more welcoming, the experience would have been fine. Hope everything’s okay but I won’t change my review due to a lack of communication and a reply that felt condescending.

Beautiful spot adorned with local art serving superb coffee and delectable confections. Highly recommend!
