Ostara’s Coffee House

This place is simply incredible. In case you don’t like reading in depth reviews, here it is summed up into one sentence; absolutely, and without a doubt, the best coffee and breakfast sandwich I have ever had anywhere.

I wish I could give 10 stars… every year my family and I come to cape may for a week. About 4 years ago i happened to stumble across this amazing shop. Since then, I have been sure to visit this shop every time. In fact, it’s one of the reasons i look forward to our yearly vacation.

Upon entering you find beautiful decor, library, and an extraordinarily welcoming environment. Not one staff member has ever been anything but exceptional.

Their coffee is consistently delicious each and every time - it’s always smooth and perfectly made. If you’ve ever been to a Dunkin’ Donuts, you know that it’s a 50/50 shot if your coffee is actually going to made correctly. This isn’t the case with Ostara’s. Additionally, their breakfast sandwiches are made to order, and aren’t sitting under a heater or being microwaved when someone eventually orders it.

Every time I receive my order, I always question how can anyone improve on simple things like a sandwich or coffee the way that Ostara’s does? My best guess is it’s the pride and dedication that they have to provide QUALITY and FRESH ingredients in every product they serve.

So please, if you are a coffee aficionado as I am, or if you’re just looking for a good coffee, don’t waste your time on the “dime-a-dozen” beach coffee shops that you’ll find for hours on Beach Avenue. Take 5 extra minutes to treat yourself to this small, family owned business. You will not regret it.

Busy but quick service for breakfast before whale watching on a Wednesday morning. The drinks were absolutely wonderful and customizable for every taste. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant that was so fresh and delicious it nearly put me in a coma. I'll be going back tomorrow. Bravo, Ostara.

Best coffee ever!! I really have never had a better coffee and it is always consistent! Lots of flavors and options. And love the owners! Make sure you go here if you are in Cape May! You will not be disappointed!

Love this place. As other reviewers have said, the food (particularly, for me, the egg sandwiches and muffins) and coffee are consistently very good. But the reason I keep going back, at least once every week from May through September is the vibe, which is very open and down-to-earth. The owner and staff are all very friendly, and from the first time I went in a couple of years ago, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I don't do many ratings, but I couldn't recommend Ostara's more highly.

One of our favorite businesses in Cape May! We can walk here from our house and make a point to do so every single time we are in town. Love the owners, atmosphere, and the drinks, of course!

Exceptional muffins. Plenty of space: 4 tables inside and a few outside.

Amazing coffee, even had coffee ice cubes!!! Loved the atmosphere and merch from local businesses. The barista was kind. My husband and I wish we had a coffee place like this close to our home!! Will definitely be coming back!

THE best spot for coffee in all of Cape May! We adore stopping in every day when we’re in town. From the coffee cubes to the beautifully curated assortment of locally crafted goods, this place is a gem! If I could rate it 10 stars I would!

Absolutely love this coffee shop. I always try to visit when I'm in town. The art and jewelry they show case are lovely to look through and I love the creative menu options! Highly recommend the Amy Pohler iced drink. Its soo refreshing! Lots of good vibes here too. I hope that one day there is more indoor seating as I am a homebody in a coffee shop and could totally see myself spending the afternoon in a place like this!
