Avalon Coffee

I've been going to Avalon Bagel since they were a small little shop in Rio Grande and loved it. I will never go back to the one in N.Cape May. Awful service and my order wasnt even correct.

My breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel was delicious. Make sure you order as "pork roll" because if you say Taylor Ham you might get an eye roll lol. Joking obviously the food was good.

I think the girls working in there are sweethearts. Especially because they let my son use restroom when I was in a jam. They were very nice about it. They didn't know us we weren't purchasing that day and I truly appreciated it. Because of that I will always go there and enjoy their deliscious bagels! Thank you from a Mom and for being decent human beings!!!

Ordered a latte and boba. The latte was fine the boba took about 20 min for them to even start making it. The staff was yelling at each other and clearly had no idea what they were doing. The boba was disgusting. It was warm, looked gross and the pineapple juice smelled expired. 10/10 would not recommend.

The cook staff weren't wearing masks and talking over the food. The staff's grandparents were here with a group of their friends. No one in the group wore masks while ordering or walking around. The family members ordered after us but got served first. Three other groups came and left before we got served. We've been waiting over 45 minutes for 4 bagels. The bagels weren't even that good. I won't be returning.

Best bagels in CM! Big, fluffy and soft! The onion is the best. Breakfast sandwiches are awesome too. Great customer service!

Bagels are great but the 3 times I've gone during my last trip I've been shorted bagels when buying a dozen and have had every order messed up. Next time I'll be checking everything before leaving the store.

The owner’s son was in the store remote learning as usual. Today, the kid was coughing virtually the entire time I was in the store. Sometimes with a mask, often without. When I dared to say something to to the owner, she went ballistic on me and started screaming that he has asthma and “was running”. The coughing was happening long before he got up. He was running around behind the counter touching every surface in sight. She didn’t care in the least that her customers might be uncomfortable with rampant coughing from someone who spends all day in the store.

I am very considerate of working parents making the best of things during Covid. But business owners need to respect their customers’ concerns as well.

Always good bagels and coffee. We take our breakfast to the ferry park to eat and watch the boats.

Thier Avalon Blend is probably the best dark roast coffee in this area. Especially if you grind your own. And yes, thier bagels and sandwiches are very good.
