Windsor House Tea Room and Bakery: a charming British tea house and bakery located in Lafayette, NJ. This family-owned business offers a unique experience for tea lovers and those with a sweet tooth. The tea room is beautifully decorated, with attention to detail that goes unnoticed. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends or family.
The menu includes a wide variety of teas, from floral to black teas, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. The Duchess Tea Service is a must-try, which includes a big pot of hot tea, finger sandwiches, scones, and mini desserts. The scones are fresh out of the oven and by far the best scone around. The chicken salad is to die for, and the pumpkin bisque is perfect for a rainy or snowy day. The bakery offers a nice variety of items for sale, including cakes that are so reasonably priced.
The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making sure that each customer has a wonderful experience. They are super accommodating to changing the number of guests, any food allergies, and even splitting the bill for all of us. The service is phenomenal, and the attention to detail is impressive.
Windsor House Tea Room and Bakery is a hidden gem in Sussex County. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the vibe is welcoming. The Chocolate chip cookies are to die for, and the British cupcakes are a must-try. The macarons are perfectly flaky with a slight chewy aspect to it. The pastries are delicious, and the prices are reasonable.
The only downside is that the tea room is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. However, they are open from Thursday to Sunday, with varying hours. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, as the tea room is becoming more popular. Overall, Windsor House Tea Room and Bakery is a delightful place to visit, and we highly recommend it.

My friends and I had such a lovely afternoon tea today at Windsor House!! Beautifully decorated, incredibly kind and attentive staff, delicious food and tea. The chicken salad was to die for!! Scone was fresh out of the oven and by far the best scone I’ve ever had. Their attention to detail goes unnoticed. I’m so grateful to have such a darling little spot like this in Sussex county. Also took notice that they have a nice little variety of bakery items for sale, including cakes that are so reasonably priced! Can’t wait to come back.

What a lovely & quaint Tea Room Room & Bakery! Family owned & operated which is fantastic 👏! I had the soup dejour, today was a savory, thick Punpkin Bisque which really hit the spot on a rainy,snowy day! Yum!
I followed up w/the Duchess Tea Service which included a big pot of hot Tea, I chose the Buckingham Garden Tea Party, which was a great balance blend of Floral ,Jasmine & black teas.
There was also a perfect Scone,the variety of the day,which was accompanied by a little jar of strawberry 🍓 preserves & another jar of English clotted cream. 4 mini desert bites of a lemon 🍋 curd shortbread bite, a berry French macaroon, a Raspberry Jam iced cake bite & a mini cupcake of the month, English Butterfly YUM! A sweet,light,sponge cake w/a Raspberry filling & topped w/a light vanilla frosting. The 4 finger sandwiches that were also included were a classic cucumber 🥒 cream cheese, an egg salad, a ham & cheese 🧀 w/Bronston Pickle spread on the side & an English favorite, Queen's Coronation Chicken salad w/the slightest hint of Curry which makes it 👍! On my way out I stopped in the bakery & left 🧁 cupcakes,& a slice of Victoria Sponge cake!
The only things I wish were slightly different on the menu; a Tea option of double finger sandwiches w/o the mini desserts, an alacarte option of more finger sandwiches & a choice of scones w/the Tea Services not only the featured scone.
All in all it's a great new Tea Room I'll be visiting again very soon!
Make a reservation tho because the more people discover it the more in demand it'll be!

Made a reservation about 2 and a half weeks in advance and had no issues. The tea room itself is adorable and the ambiance is amazing. Our group ordered the tea for two, a house salad, and the quiche of the day and the food was phenomenal from start to finish.
They have a wide selection of teas and they were accommodating of our group dietary needs. The server was so sweet and the host was so kind and welcoming.
We bought some scones and cookies to go after our service and the pastries were also delicious. I highly recommend for an afternoon ladies outing or just stopping in to grab some pastries!

Booked a party of 15 for tea today and it was the most wonderful experience. The staff were super accommodating to changing the number when individuals couldn’t show up, any food allergies, and even splitting the bill for all of us. It was truly a delight. The scones were amazing, the sandwiches perfect, and the tea, phenomenal. 10/10 will definitely go again!

Loved the tea service. The tea tastes amazing and the service and ambiance great.
I’ve also tried many of the pastries, all of which are delicious.
Macarons are hard to make, but not for Windsor House. Perfectly flaky with a slight chewy aspect to it.

Went there recently with a few friends ..Great food and atmosphere! ..I believe it is a family owned business and they were all so friendly and welcoming which is so important to me right now because you don't see that a lot these days. Really appreciated the great service !

Just had bakery take out but everything was phenomenal !!! A must try !!!
