Came here to get a cup of coffee and was met by an impatient counter girl that expected me to understand and use their invented barista vernacular. I should have known at that moment because the coffee was worse than the customer service. I know a good coffee and the product these guys put out there is an embarrassment. Steer clear. Dunkin might honestly just be a better option.

The spot. Whenever I’m near one I need it. Delicious!!!

This was the 6th time I've visited this location. I am a daily Rook drinker. Out of the 6 times I have came to this location I have had one DECENT cup of coffee. This is not how Rook coffee is supposed to taste. Don't get me started on the customer service. This location definitely needs a training. If you want to try REAL Rook Coffee try any other location. Big Oak is the best!

Coffee is amazing. I tip sometimes but I don’t feel it’s right to always pressure a customer for a tip. I know times are hard but still it makes me annoyed bc I always pay the bill and smile and sometimes I say have a nice day. Even sometimes for not giving a tip sometimes I don’t get a reply for saying have a great day. I’m not mad but I hope people see this and if you can relate great!

Come here for a 30 minute wait for 1 iced coffee!!!!!!! Every morning I start my day with a rook coffee. But now I will stop going to the Colts Neck Rook on weekends. The service is absolutely unacceptable. I waited 30 minutes for one iced coffee. The order was supposed to be ready by 11:08, but I was told to “Leave the store and wait outside” for my coffee. Every customer was sent outside. They did not even ask for my name to see if my coffee was ready. Instead, I was told to wait outside with many other people. No employees came outside to call out order names, and I waited 15 more minutes, outside. Finally, at 11:25 I decided to just walk in, since it was obvious no employees were coming outside. I was finally able to give my name, and I tried to explain to the young barista that there should be a better system: I was told to wait outside when my coffee had been ready. She laughed in my face and turned away. There was about 10 coffees waiting on the counter, all mobile orders, but none of the employees were telling the customers outside that their coffees were ready. Entirely unacceptable. Thank you rook, for an unpleasant start to my morning! I think I’ll be going to Dunkin and Starbucks :)

I usually frequent the Freehold location since it's local to me, but I've been in this area a lot more lately so I stopped in. The first time it seemed like everyone just rolled out of bed and had no idea what was going on. I couldn't believe it since I've never had a bad experience at any Rook location. I thought it was unusual, so I went back another day and the service was great. Totally fine every time I've been back since that first visit. Actually, better with each visit. Maybe the kids all went to the same party the night before 😂 Anyway, awesome coffee as always. I really miss the coconut mocha, but the cinnamon vanilla is pretty amazing as well when I stray from my usual NOLA cold brew 😎

Love Rook! I have had nothing but great experiences at all their locations. The employees are very nice and knowledgeable. The coffee is fantastic! Most of the time, I go in to buy a bag of one of the dark roasts but have a hard time leaving without a cup of New Orleans or Turkish. If you're not familiar with Rook, I highly suggest visiting one of their locations soon!

I am not overly impressed with the coffee but the barista is very nice and patient. I also appreciate that they care about the environment. Reusable straws, metal spoons for stirring, etc;. All parts of the cup are recyclable too.

Rook has outstanding coffee. I get it every day...but they need to start worrying about the customers who are physically in the store and less about the customers who text in orders. Create a dedicated station for text orders or something instead of making the ones who are there wait longer while the barista is slammed with text orders. There’s an old saying in business, “take care of the customers who are here, not the ones who are coming”
