SUCH a long wait just for some breakfast sandwiches! We waited for OVER an hour, and when we asked how much longer it would take until we got our food, all we got in return was very rude remarks from the chef! Not even an apology from her. The food was good, not worth the wait though. The girls taking our orders were sweet as can be, but the chef was very rude and she didn’t seem to care how long we we waited for our food. Not good customer service from her whatsoever.

Coffee was hot and fresh but owner was quite rude to us- for some reason the front door blew open and she rushed from the counter all the way over to the front door and slammed it in front of us like we were 2 year old children that had done wrong. She also was very curt and did not even fake a smile or ask us where we were from in town or local guests, .etc.- she acted like she was doing us a big favor. If she knew that we were prevalent business owners in the area, we bet that she would have treated us very differently. There was a very scant amount of dry baked goods- I do not know if that was because they had been sold out or not, but we had anticipated buying a bakery item and left very disappointed. We both liked the atmosphere but that does not make up for rude service- We will not return.

I have to say, I do not know of this cafe personally but I called there to inquire about delivery close to them, see I’m 110 miles from Asbury Nj. It was my BFF 37 wedding anniversary.. I was looking for Irish soda bread. Long story short, these wonderful owners, who do not deliver, not only delivered my friends Soda bread, but cookies and coffee as well!!
AND would not accept any money ! I am forever grateful for my 2 angels that day !!! Thank you again !! PS .., my friends said everything was delicious

Our waitress, Nancy, was very welcoming and attentive but never rushed us. Will definitely be back for more wonderful brunches!

The worst dining experience we've ever had. We eat out a lot. The owner cooked & served the food. Our food was served in dribs & drabs. The side of ham for breakfast was thin sliced deli ham, the toast was cheap bread & hardly toasted (although she called it lightly toasted), the second cup of coffee arrived after the meal, & we had to ask for salt & pepper. An observation with her interaction with another patron showed little discretion for her customer concerns. After we finished our meal we asked if she'd be open to some constructive criticism & she said she would be; but obviously didn't want it. We complimented her on the atmosphere of the place, but let know what we thought about the food. At this point, instead of appreciating what we had to say, she became very argumentative & irate. We definitely wouldn't recommend this place & feel the other reviews are family and friends, who are doing her no service by not being honest about the food and service. The atmosphere and decor get 5 stars plus. Anything else gets a 0 if that were possible.

Very expensive sandwiches. There was nothing exceptional about them. I was quite disappointed since high prices and atmosphere lends itself to high expectations. A bagelsmith deli is 10 stars compared to here. The sweet baked goods are delicious though.

A quaint place for locals, travelers, & van expeditors like us to sit down, enjoy food, coffee, & live music to. The musician played well. A different scenery from the truck stop.

The lady taking orders was not very welcoming. No hello or good morning. All three of us felt like we were intruding on her routine. She quickly left the counter to take the order of 3 others who had been sitting at a table reviewing their menus before we had arrived. Then a young employee arrived and the lady scolded her for being 7 minutes late. We tried to support a small business but wish we had waited until we got to Greenwich and could get our beverages at Starbucks there.

What a wonderful place! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the coffee was amazing, the crumb cake delicious, and they had very enjoyable musical entertainment. We will definitely return!

Lovely, local nook for breakfast and lunch and family-owned, small-town friendliness and personal service. Breakfast omelets come with perfectly-done potatoes, and a small cup of fresh fruit. Non-dairy smoothies are one of my favorites. ACM also hosts live music, offers a comfortable lounging area, in addition to dining tables, and features walls covered with framed art for sale by local artists. After you eat, walk through quaint Asbury, and be sure to look for the turn-of-the-century schoolhouse and other historic buildings as you make your way to the river.
