A local hidden gem! Got a honey cinnamon latte and rye bagel with herb cream cheese - excellent! Seriously, the bagel was so good…a rare find in these parts. I’m no coffee connoisseur but seems like these guys know what they’re doing. 10/10 will be coming back (if only just to try the donuts and sit outside on their lovely patio).

Easily the best coffee in the area. Real beans from Columbia make this coffee super creamy with a nice strong flavor. Not bitter, not acidic, just yum. They also have some homemade donuts and scones that look delicious :)

An absolutely wonderful business. This is the ideal of a small town small business. While we were enjoying the best coffee (by far) in the Portsmouth area, the owner came out to talk to us and welcome us to the area. We will definitely be visiting frequently!

It is refreshing to see good coffee back in the greater Portsmouth area. There is a lot of “coffee” in the Portsmouth area, but in my opinion, La Mulita is the only place serving up proper good coffee. Nothing else comes close. Always fresh. Always delicious. The variety of roasts available is fantastic. La Mulita is a daily routine and I recommend you try it out if you have not done so already.

Doesn’t get much better than this. Great fresh coffee selections, knowledgeable and super friendly staff, and brioche donuts from Love Birds bakery. Credit card, Apple Pay or cash - Great experience!

First decent cup of coffee I've had during my three day visit, and I'm staying at the wentworth by the sea down the street. My cappuccino was excellent, vibe is nice with plenty of parking and outdoor seats. La Mulita is a must if you are nearby.

Delicious coffee and wonderful conversation! The owner Max has definitely hit a goldmine with his business! Local baked goods, delicious house roasted beans, cozy and relevant aesthetic, La Mulita is definitely worth coming back to over and over again. Highly recommend!

My friend made a special detour on our visit down from ME to try your coffee...so grateful she did! Stuart and Heather welcomed us warmly, gave us some background info about the store and mission to support the farms and farmers. Loved the decor, recycled wood pallets, simplicity of fresh baked goods on the counter, and of course the coffee! I would love to bring your product up to Central Maine very soon! Thanks and happy roasting!

I'm visiting from Maine, saw the reviews & had to check it out.. I gave it 5 stars for a reason. This place didn't disappoint. The atmosphere, the service, the coffee & food were all 🤌 - I highly recommend you give them a try.

If you’re interested in falling in love again….with coffee…this is where to begin.
Start off with an espresso tonic that will blow your mind and leave with a bag of Mule Kick.
I’ve never experienced a dark roast like it so smooth, so complex, so delicious! I’ll be honest… I drink this one daily.
