I tend to have my espresso at-home. However, when I find myself in town I tend to stop at D-squared. Whoever selects their coffee from the 3rd wave roasters knows what they are looking for, and it shows whenever you head in. Enjoy

This is one of the best coffee shops I've been too. I love the smell when you first walk in. Don't know if it's the tea, the coffee or some other sort of spice. Everything is browed fresh and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Good place for pourovers and not pretentious at all. Seating can be a little tricky and some of their dishes need replacing. Had a muffin and didn’t love it. Would probably only go back for coffee or tea, but it’s worth it for those.

Best coffee in town! Casual, comfortable environment with unique artwork that changes monthly. Food is homemade and delicious: try the avocado toast! Great chilled drinks for summer: variety of unique lemonades and iced teas as well! Good starting point for strolling along Water Street and shopping in Exeter!

We were in town for a bike race and it was very busy, the gentleman working was very kind and quick despite being solo when we came. The chocolate croissant was great and the iced coffee as well - great spot to pop in and have a quick bite and drink!

An unrefined but cute cafe for small bites and custom drinks. Decor is on the shabbier side of shabby-artistic but does not take away, in my opinion, from the experience. However seating is quite limited.
They happened to be out of stock for a number of ingredients and menu items but tried to come up with creative alternatives. Ordered the poached egg plate - great flavor and hearty plate for a snack-like menu.
Amazing pastries and a lot of gluten free options - my GF mom loved the maple-oatmeal scone.
Homemade pumpkin sauce for lattes and a selection of wonderful teas and coffees. I tried a pumpkin latte (not amazing, but fine) and ordered a Sumatra pour-over to go (quite good).
A fun and comfort-foodie cafe to pop into if you find yourself in downtown Exeter!

Fast and friendly baristas serve up some great cups of coffee and tea. If you play acoustic guitar and feel the need to break out in song they keep one on hand for anyone to use. A cozy and comfortable place to enjoy a hot or cold beverage and pastry.

As a student at Phillip's Exeter Academy, I went there almost every morning, either alone or with friends and got iced coffee and a slice of apple pie. The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. Good memories.

Perfect coffee at a good price. No pretensions. Just good coffee made by real coffee experts.

I just got a cold brew, simply black. It tastes extremely bitter and old. I regularly get cold brew coffee and this tastes nothing like cold brew, but rather old iced coffee that's been sitting in the fridge for a while.
I've had espresso from here before and it was okay, nothing special.
