The staff is always so kind and welcoming. The coffee is wonderful, the baked goods naturally great. What sets it apart is the atmosphere: it's spacious, full of light, and the beautiful patio feels like an extension of the airy indoor atmosphere. The three large indoor tables easily accommodate gathering of friends. All in all, by far my favorite cafe in Concord.
I feel sad writing this but under new management, Bean and Bakery has lost my business. The coffee and baked goods are wonderful but every time I visit I'm frustrated by the service and atmosphere. The counter will be unattended for several minutes at a time despite there being 3-5 staff members working. Many times someone has come out to the counter but hasn't engaged with customers or even made eye contact before heading into the back again. The service is often curt, if not rude, and it just isn't worth it to me anymore. There are so many great coffee shops in Concord now and unfortunately I'd rather shop at any of those instead.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Many choices of coffee to choose from to take home. Reasonable prices and lots of room inside. So your not standing ontop of each other waiting for your order. Like some places make you feel like.
Stopped into the Bean & Bakery on Friday, March 3rd around 10:45 a.m. after a friend recommended the place. I was greeted immediately, not by an employee but a customer waiting in line. She seemed frustrated by the lack of acknowledgment form the barista at the counter. After standing there for a minute obviously looking for service (the employee even made eye contact) the young woman could finally be bothered to acknowledge the woman in front of us. The woman inquired about cold brew coffee which the employee remarked (Ya, we don't do that). I can not talk about the food or coffee as the service alone sent me out the door. In speaking to my friend afterwards about his recommendation, he apologized and stated he recently stopped frequenting the Bean & Bakery do to the ownership change and lack of customer engagement and experience.
I had a wonderful experience there (shout out to our barista for taking such good care of me), but the new management is terrible! I came and got my usual during a rather busy shift, and although the barista did get me my food and coffee, I noticed she asked her manager to help and she just stood there and talked to some other patrons she appeared to be friends with. I have worked in service before, and I know how difficult it can be with a terrible boss. Please do better!
Cute coffee shop in downtown Concord. Open and quiet space with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have done a lot to make it a welcoming atmosphere. We had their maple walnut and orange cranberry scones which were so yummy! Also, extra points for having warm apple cider!
Employees are rude and doesn't communicate well. You don't tell your customers disrespefully to leave expecting them to know what time your close and tell them "we closed 5 minutes ago and we were just making your drinks."

This is a great coffee shop, the coffee is always fresh and delicious. Their quiche is the best and pastries amazing.
