Mom's Diner

Hubby wanted breakfast at Mom’s today. After being told to “Sit anywhere you like”—we did. We chose a table in the center at the back. The party who arrived after us was greeted and served drinks and we still had not been greeted. Then the server began cleaning a table right next to us. Still no greeting or drinks. Another server finally got the drinks and took the order from couple near the far wall who was there before us. Then another couple arrived and they were greeted and their beverage order taken. We left. Before I left I spoke with owner and he said that our table belonged to a different station. I explained that they should be working as a team and that someone could have greeted us and taken a beverage order. We would have chosen a different table or restaurant if we KNEW what we were getting into with the “Sit anywhere you like” instructions. We didn’t like the seat or the non-team approach. BTW…we have been here in the past, but haven’t over the last 6 months. The food was good enough to consider coming back, but not after today.

Excellent truly American burger place! Burger was delicious, everything was above expectations and nice welcoming staff was a cherry on top.

I went one time and had to go every day after that. The breakfast was excellent and your coffee is never empty. A gentleman paid for our meals one of the times and we were very thankful!

Located on the corner of State street and Humahuaca street, in the city of Pahrump, Mom's Diner is your local celebrity restaurant.
Outwardly, this restaurant appears to offer a slice of American life. The interior is decorated with items you would find in a vintage store. But if you look around and read, this place has a lot of wit, humor, and sayings that will make you think. Seriously, check out the Superman phone booth display in the corner.
I recently came here for breakfast because my cousin raved about this place. And he wasn't wrong. I ordered the Deuces plate which was two of everything and it was excellent (as I look back at my pic, I think I was missing an extra sausage lol). The pancakes tasted fresh and fluffy. With butter and syrup, it was amazing.
This place also offers a variety of burgers ,sandwiches, and deserts.
The burgers here were voted the best four years in a row. And I have no doubts that must be true.
If you ever find yourself in Pahrump, check this place out.

Great little place in Pahrump for breakfast and lunch! Kinda hidden off Highway 160, near the Chrysler/Jeep car dealership. Friendly service with a smile and delicious food. Our family ordered ham & eggs, chicken fried steak, breakfast skillet and it was all good. I think the chicken fried steak was the best bang for the buck though. My kids ordered off the kid's menu and got grilled cheese (little skimpy on the cheese) and Mickey Mouse pancake (cute idea!) with bacon. All in all, above average and enjoyable!

I had a great experience here. The food, atmosphere, price, and service were all excellent.

Great coffee. Great eggs. Great, fast service. Nice people. Great character and vibe here. Waffle was cooked perfect.
