Apparently this little eatery has been at this location for eons, but it somehow managed to slip under my personal radar.
After having a late lunch with friends at Coo Coo's Gourmet Cafe one day, I promised myself I would go back again soon . . . I did.
For me, Coo Coo's is reminiscent of the sidewalk cafes so prevalent throughout Europe where I emigrated from more than half a century ago. The proprietor keeps this charming little part-cafe, part-deli, part-restaurant, part-bistro invitingly clean and sparkling while allowing the day's delicious aromas to remain fresh in the restaurant's atmosphere.
The bright and sunny Spring day offered us the choice between sitting inside at one of the tables draped with red and white checkered cloths ~ or ~ enjoying our meal outside in the breezey, open air at one of the little wrought- iron tables.
So much for Coo Coo's physical characteristics and atmosphere.
The menu, while simple, is just right, yet way above average, for a casual coffee / sandwich shop. And the sandwiches are definitely something to write home about; nothing at all like those franchised sandwich establishments where all of their menu items taste pretty much the same.
Finally, the overall experience of each and every visit has been memorably splendid! I sincerely hope that a recent rumor of Coo Coo's closing or moving is completely unfounded.

A small group of us meet there for lunch every week. All the food looks delicious, but I haven't been able to try anything else because I love the avocado veggie wrap so much. I get the 1/2 wrap on a spinach tortilla, plenty for me.

The sandwiches are great. Each meal is served with a fresh baked cookie made with love! The desserts are great. My friends love the wraps. I went every week with a group. Loved it!

My son and I love this placw for brunch! Breakfast sandwhiches and burritos are always fresh and delicious, and we both love the smoothies. They also have a great selection of board games, we usually play battleship, and he is currently maintaining a very large winning streak.

The food us delicious. We had the California breakfast burrito, a coffee and a fruit parfait. They have a hodgepodge of food here, I feel like if they just focused on coffee and a few breakfast, lunch and dinner items, they could really be on the map. Water street has alot of potential with the right leadership. Hopefully it continues to thrive.

I ordered a blueberry shake, but it was just vanilla. It was good, but not what I ordered. Nice atmosphere, I'll go back but I'll make sure to double check my order before I leave.
