The coffee was Great, the wait time for it was very long. They only have ONE machine to make the Frappes and the wait time for my six alone was 45 min plus . The drive up.line was wrapped around the building. And this was for all three of my visits .

You would think good things might get even better over time. Or things change with time and not for the better. I was going to drive-up, but the only car in the drive up lane appeared to be parked, so I walked inside. I just wanted a good cup of coffee. Four folks behind the counter helping drive-ups and walk-ins, but generally disorganized and not a positive vibe. No breakfast burritos or warm food. Only two people ahead of me, yet the wait was almost ten minutes. I couldn’t help but notice the layers of greasy fingerprints covering the drive up window. The baristas were grabbing glazed doughnuts topped with colorful fruit with their bare fingers. Food service prep gloves might be a thought. Finally, the barista helping me, held my own self-provided cup in her hands and announced…$4.01. Gave her a five and a penny. Took another two minutes to get a dollar change.

Back in my car, I took a long awaited sip of my morning coffee and gagged. It tasted like reused grounds made in a pot and stored in a carafe that had never been cleaned. Undrinkable. Sadly disappointing all round. 180 degree experience from a year ago.

Initial review (2021):
Long drive in from smoky California via Lee Vining. Thought MacDonald’s was the only option, then saw this little place. Pulled up to the window and said, “I need a coffee this big, with milk and sugar and a shot of espresso.” She came back with the perfect size cup, perfectly flavored and a cookie for my happy dog. Breakfast smelled delicious inside so will make a point to dine in next time. Excellent service. Thanks!

This is basically the only place to eat in Hawthorne that isn't fast food. I stop here every single time I pass through. It's the only drinkable coffee for quite some distance although I wouldn't go as far as to say the coffee is good. In a town with such terrible food options getting a decent sandwich or breakfast burrito is like a godsend. Food/service is 5 star and coffee is 3 so I split the difference and arrived at 4 stars. I'll be stopping here in July when I pass through again.

Excellent little coffee shop! Drive through or walk in. Our favorite coffee is Blackberry Crumble, the best! People that work here are very nice too!

Great staff. Super friendly. The one thing I love about this place is their huge selection of sugar free syrups.

Best coffee shop in town! One of the baristas, Tami, is such a bright and happy face to see when getting my morning coffee! She makes my order perfect every time. Love this place!

I just have to give this tiny joint a four star simply based on the great gal that took care of me. This place is one of those stand-alone corner kiosk types with very minimal inside seating, maybe four chairs. Meant to be a drive through. Outdoor seating too but since the wind never stops in that town, I'd skip the outdoor part. They can make any kind of coffee drink you want, but I threw a wrench in the works and she still made me happy. Nice music, some good chat, and back on the road. If you need a short break when passing through this quirky town give this a try.
