Whimsical decor, friendly service, tasty hot drinks, and delicious desserts in an old building in downtown Benton.

The reason it doesn't receive 5 stars is that $24 is a bit pricy for two drinks and a dessert. Otherwise, a fun experience!

I was faltering on whether or not to review this establishment. We went for an event advertised on Facebook. We have been hyping it up and looking forward to it, because who wouldn't love cocktails and snacks with friends while watching one of your most favorite movies?! It was a dud. You can't see the "screen" from more than two tables in the place. I don't mind a wall projection but with the way it is set up every other table and chair blocks your view of the wall. We did not try anything for food or drinks. It seems like it would be a great place for a drink with a couple of friends. Movie nights here are really not doable. Maybe come back for a trivia night but there are way too many other places I'd rather go in Benson.

I had a great meal here! The atmosphere is cozy and peaceful, the staff was very friendly, and the food and drinks were great! I love going to local cafes, and this one is definitely high on my list now. I enjoy the current theme, and I look forward to visiting during future themes!

Beautiful looking Cafe.

I think it's theme is more fairy tale.

They have a very limited food item menu which consists of charcuterie and some baked goods. They have keto and gluten free options though.

Some cool drink options include things like a lighted ice cube or sparkles in your drink. It's what I call an instagrammable Cafe.

I was really cold when I was there. They left the door open for some reason and the cold air made it very chilly.
It did make my experience not very enjoyable. If I was to base on this single one it would have been a 3 but I'm certain this was an abnormal thing so that's why I put it at a 4 for now. I'll adjust when I return.
Didn't see the butter beer so I would want to go back to try that.
Pricing is a little high for the latte I had. (It was basic with a shot if vanilla)
I didn't get a copy of the menu so I can't remember the pricing on everything. The charcuterie though was a good price.

Someone brought in their cat on a leash so I guess you can bring cats in?
That was different since I never seen that before. I think it's cool as I am an animal lover.

Walking into this enchanted forest themed cafe was such an experience. Between the fun menu and bonus menu to the golden ceiling or fairy tail tree against the wall, it's a great hang out place. The owners have done a great job to make the place covid safe, our booth walls were so high you couldn't see any other customers. There were hepa filters between all the tables and bottles of hand sanitizer at our seat.

The drinks and food are definitely something I am already looking forward to going back to enjoying. They have a variety of cafe and liquor drinks, even saw someone drinking a Truly. I had their butterbeer, which could be spiked or non alcoholic. They also make their drinks strong! The food was amazing, we ordered the large charcuterie board, a creme brulee (unpictured because we were too excited to dig in), and the Mac and cheese board.

This place is a highly recommended. We talked with the owners, who are a great couple and they shared some of the history about the place. We were most interested in the old books they had lying around. Very friendly, very cozy, and very delicious cafe!

Amazing place! Magical for all ages! We got the pink hot chocolate and Latte and omg the chocolate cupcake was fresh and delicious. They change there themes so make sure you run to check out the enchanted theme going on now!

Waited over 40min for a large charcuterie board, turned out the pink hair cashier never even put the order in, and got absolute no apologies from her but a condescending “would you like to return it?”. Will not go back. 2 stars for the donut it was good and the latte was decent, but the chai tea was super watered down.

Last night we went to Edge of the Universe and absolutely fell in love! This coffee bar by day and cocktail lounge by night is an absolute dream! We spoke to the lovely owners (who just got engaged yesterday!!!) and they gave us the low-down:

Right now Edge of the Universe is fairytale-themed and deemed “Happily Ever After.” From the furniture, decor, and music to the specialty cocktail menu - everything is a fairytale! The theme will change every few months. Happily Ever After is currently set to run through the fall, followed by Starry Starry Night in the winter, and then Hawaiian Surf Shack in the spring. Each theme will be created by a local artist and support a local charity. How cool is that?!?!

This newly engaged couple took over the Benson tenant space with the intention to open this concept in March. Obviously this got delayed because of Covid. They’ve been paying on the space for months and finally opened the venue on Friday. They said they were busy for coffee during the day. Many of the people had heard of them on Facebook from Omaha Food Lovers!!! But all of Benson was an absolute ghost town last night. We were the only patrons there at 10:30pm.

While we were there we ordered the “Stay Out if the Forest” cocktail (chocolate liquor, bourbon, RumChata), “The Poison Apple” cocktail (gin, apple cider, lemon juice, bitters, cinnamon), and the chocolate and berry cheesecake bites! All of it I would absolutely get again!

This is absolutely not a place to be missed! There’s nothing else like it in Omaha, and the owners were an absolute delight to speak with. Go check them out for coffee, a cocktail, or a sweet baked treat! And tell them you heard about them on OFL!

Super amazing place inside! We had a vanilla lattes and they were good. I would recommend requesting the temperature of your choice though because ours were on the cold side but still tasted great. Pictures don't do it justice.

This place is so cute, honestly none of the pictures on here (including mine) do it justice. The decor is very creatively and insightfully done. The little touches like glowing ice cubes in your drink are amazing. This style easily could’ve been overdone, but it’s just the right amount of fun! The staff is very friendly and cheery.

Personally I thought my cocktail tasted a bit watery, I would’ve preferred a stronger presence of flavor. Bonus, they do have gluten free and keto treats, as well as dairy free milk alternatives!
