I’ve had the great pleasure of frequenting Maven’s a lot of the past few years! Whether you go for the awesome assortment of meats and cheeses or for a nice cappuccino, Maven’s has you covered! Their Gelato is legendary and did I mention the Pimento Grilled Cheese!? It’s amazing!!

Food was wonderful, just was seriously so disappointed I paid 4.25 for tomato bisque soup and didn’t receive any. I was seriously looking forward to dipping my sandwich in it, as that is part of the experience for me. Also received wrong cookie, which I understand if you are out of stuff, but please change it on your ordering. Greatly disappointing. But seriously the food was very delicious besides that.

The selection of cheese, wine, charcuterie, and other fancy people foods is excellent on the market side, if a bit overpriced (which is expected at a place like this). It's usually worth it though - I have no problem treating myself to really good cheese and some flavored olive oil for a few extra bucks. My only gripe is that they put all your cheese in separate PET plastic containers. It's incredibly wasteful and hopefully I'm representative enough of their clientele so that they shift towards a more sustainable option. I always request they wrap my cheese in butcher paper (which itself is lined with plastic, but small steps I suppose). They usually seem a little flustered at the request, but ideally it would just be standard practice will plastic tubs only used for large orders or as a last resort. The service is still excellent and it's overall a dangerous place to go for holiday shopping or really any time you're feeling decadent yourself, or want a thoughtful food or food related gift for someone else.

Update: brought in my own to go container for cheese and they were more than happy to weight it, put it in the container while I held it, and stick the sticker on top. Very happy 😊

The cafe is also great, and I look forward to trying more of their menu. Service is excellent, and their red pepper gouda bisque is like a next level rich tomato soup that is maybe one of the best soups I've ever had. $12 for a sandwich and soup with a side of chips seems like a great deal for a high quality lunch, and the seating area is quiet, clean, and well lit.

Meats and cheeses and meats and cheeses! Phenomenal selection of take away treats as well as delicious sandwiches. The staff is exceptionally friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I 10/10 recommend swinging in for a tasty treat. Don’t forget to try the wine! You won’t be disappointed. A true gem in the heart of the city just off Main Street. While you’re at it, cool off with some of their Fresh Made Gelato. I had the Bee Sting Affogato (with hazelnut and honey). Seriously I could sing their praises all day. Go! Now!

They have so many amazing options here! They have super decadent gelatos in flavors that I never would have thought of, but are amazing. They have a really big selection of amazing olive oils, and recipe ideas for them too! They have so many cheeses, it's amazing. The staff is really amazing, and help you find exactly what you're looking for. Great place for a quick bite, or some great charcuterie.
